George Clooney Turns the Big 5-0!
May 06, 2011 @ 8:44 am PST    The American, The Ides of March     Allie Basilica
George Clooney over the hill? Never! The notoriously single sex symbol hit the half century mark today and he is hotter than ever. Maybe dating Italian smokeshow Elisabetta Canalis has something to do with his ability to stay youthful. Like a fine wine, Clooney just seems to get better and better with age. Aging certainly hasn't slowed the actor down either. His film "The Ides of March" is currently in post production, due out this October and "The Descendants" will hit theaters in December.

May 06, 2011 @ 6:43 am PST    Community     Andy Neuenschwander
Ladies and gentlemen, I have witnessed the greatest half hour of television ever shown, and it is called "A Fist Full of Paintballs." Okay, so maybe "the greatest half hour of television ever" is an overstatement, but last night's episode of "Community" was a sight to see. When we learned from Dan Harmon that we not only would we be getting another paintball episode, but it would be inspired by Sergio Leone-style westerns, I was jumping for joy.

We all know that "Twilight" is a cultural phenomenon, but recent data from the Social Security Administration shows just how big an influence the teen vampire saga is. The most popular baby names for 2011 have been released, and for the second year in a row the male and female lists are topped by the names of two characters from the "Twilight" saga. May 06, 2011 @ 6:21 am PST    Jersey Shore     Andy Neuenschwander
The Jerseypocalypse is coming, and Italy is doing everything it can to prepare...even if that means telling its people to flee. The Istituo Lorenzo de' Medici, an Italian university, has done just that: it has issued a warning to its students to stay away from the 'Jersey Shore' hooligans. Apparently the apartment that the cast will be staying in also houses a number of the university's students.

Episode '30 Rock' Season 5, Episode 23 - 'Respawn' Recap
May 06, 2011 @ 6:19 am PST    30 Rock     Andy Neuenschwander
First off, I always love it when Dr. Spaceman shows up. Chris Parnell is comedy gold. Liz is excited to leave for the summer, do some mindless gardening, and live in a cottage in the Hamptons next to Food Network star Ina Garten. But there's trouble coming as Tracy ends up buying the property next to her, giving Liz a nice big injection of pure stress. The problem is, Liz can't say anything about it since she needs Tracy next season.

VIDEO: ABC Bleeps, Then Cuts, Osama bin Laden Joke From 'Happy Endings'
May 06, 2011 @ 6:17 am PST    Happy Endings     Andy Neuenschwander
File this joke under "bad timing," and not in the comedian/delivery sense: "Happy Endings" had to bleep a joke on their show about Osama bin Laden due to the fact that the terrorist leader was killed. The ABC sitcom aired on Wednesday night, and featured a scene in which Zach Knighton's character tells Elisha Cuthbert's character about a mouse that he's been trying to catch in his apartment.

May 06, 2011 @ 6:15 am PST    American Idol     Andy Neuenschwander
A big dramatic recap of last night's events open the show, and we're reminded that if anyone is going home, it's Jacob or Haley. Both of them received rare negative comments from the judges, but Haley seemed to really redeem herself with her performance of "House of the Rising Sun." Was it enough? We'll find out after an hour full of off-topic nonsense. The judges come out, and Jennifer looks like she's wearing a mushroom.

Has the John & Sarah Connor Era ended? Maybe . . . maybe not. Justin Lin, director of "Fast Five" and soon a fifth "Terminator" installment, won't say one way or another whether original franchise principals like Linda Hamilton, Michael Biehn or really, anybody not named "Arnold Schwarzenegger" will reprise their original roles, said an MTV report.

Never afraid to push the envelope, Lady Gaga is back with another risque music video. The music mega-star premiered the music video today, earlier than expected, for her single "Judas." While the clip is loaded with racy costumes and depicts Catholicism in various forms, the artist tells E! News, "I don't view the video as a religious statement. I view it as social statement.
