Episode 'Gossip Girl' Season 4, Episode 20 - 'The Princesses and the Frog' Recap

Last night's episode was supposed to "change the lives of the characters forever." If all goes according to plan, which it won't, then life-changing it will be. Did anyone else see the irony in the commoner girl being swept away by the Prince? A little too Will & Kate but thanks anyway.

Leave it to a couple of New Yorkers to give the most gleeful report of the death of Osama Bin Laden. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert were both noticeably giddy last night, as the first episodes of "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report" since President Obama's announcement aired. The two took different approaches to the topic, but both with the same attitude: they're pretty glad he's dead.

We have already heard news that Jennifer Lopez is planning her own vocal competition show with "American Idol" producer Simon Fuller. Now there are rumors that Ryan Seacrest is going to do his own music-themed reality show. Is everyone jumping the "American Idol" ship? For now the answer is no, but Seacrest's plans do involve developing his new show for rival network NBC.

Well, this is awkward: after Marshall leaves his old job and Barney, he becomes Zoey's lawyer to help try to save the Arcadian. Not only are Ted and Zoey on opposite sides now, but Barney and Marshall are at odds too. After Barney does some unforgivable things to Marshall's megaphone (and canteen and drink), Marshall fights back by continually messing with Barney's game.

Few shows have a knack for making fun of public figures quite like the irreverent "South Park" does. So, considering that the show already has two episodes that feature Osama Bin Laden in the bank, how could they resist showing them this week? Comedy Central has shuffled their Wednesday lineup to include two reruns of "South Park" before the second new episode of the current season airs.

Swinging into action faster than The Rock, who was reportedly tweeting about the Bin Laden killing well before most major media outlets even knew what was up, The Discovery Channel is reportedly producing an hour long "instamentary" exploring the details behind the U.S. mission to take out the notorious terrorist. "We want to bring as much added context and in-depth historical insight to the story as we can," Discovery president and general manager Clark Bunting told NY Mag's Vulture.

From "Reservoir Dogs" to "Kill Bill," Quentin Tarantino's style has always been heavily influenced by Spaghetti Westerns, and Italian director Sergio Leone in particular. Now comes news that he's going to get more literal about the whole deal. IndieWire reported this week that Tarantino is moving ahead with a new film "Django Unchained," using finished script inspired by the work the director did as an actor on Takashi Miike's 2007 film "Sukikyaki Western Django," itself inspired by a series of Italian films from the 60's and 70's.

"The Hobbit" just got a little more charming. Lee Pace, best known for his starring role as Ned in the now-cancelled "Pushing Daisies," has been cast in Peter Jackson's newest Middle Earth installment. Pace will be playing the Elvenking Thranduil, who gets in a bit of a skirmish with Bilbo and the dwarves during their quest. Thranduil is the father of Legolas, played by Orlando Bloom in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

There's creative casting, and then there's this: Larry David will be playing Mother Mengele in "The Three Stooges." Yes, that means a Jewish man will be playing a Catholic nun. Comedy gold! Larry David is a co-creator of "Seinfeld" and the star of the HBO comedy series "Curb Your Enthusiasm." The success and overall hilariousness of "Curb" has really raised David's profile over the past five or so years, and he has since starred in a Woody Allen film ("Whatever Works").
