It can be tough for news teams to react when an unexpected announcement like last night's presidential address about the death of Osama Bin Laden happens. Even for those who are trained to speak on live television can flub a sentence or two when talking for a few hours straight.
But it's generally not a good idea to accidentally announce the death of the President of the United States.

After 14 years of reading the news for "Today Show" fans, Ann Curry will finally get her permanent seat at the news desk.
The New York Times is reporting that NBC will announce the anchor shuffle in a press conference today. Curry will be promoted to the host spot opposite Matt Lauer, in place of Meredith Vieira.
Vieira has been greeting viewers from the helm for the past 5 years after leaving "The View.

Can't wait til November for the new "Twilight" flick? How about 8 new production stills from the film to tide over your Twi-hard bloodlust?
The studio released a conucopia of production stills today showing the cast on set of the new films. The collection includes some crazy intimate shots from what looks like Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella's (Kristen Stewart) honeymoon, including a barely-clothed waterfall scene and some streetside kanoodling.

It was one hell of a rough weekend for The Donald. After President Obama roasted him at the White House Correspondent's Dinner and Saturday Night Live's Seth Myers skewered him with a series of one-liners, on Sunday, "Celebrity Apprentice" was pre-empted by President Obama's speech on the death of Osama Bin Laden.
After first responding harshly to the ribbing, Trump reversed course after the announcement, saying: "We should spend the next several days not debating party politics, but in remembrance of those who lost their lives on 9/11 and those currently fighting for our freedom."

Back when "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut" came out, it had a reference to Saddam Hussein's death in it, long before Hussein actually died. "The Hurt Locker" director Kathryn Bigelow thought she would be safe in making a movie about a failed assassination attempt on Osama Bin Laden for the same reason...but she was wrong.
Reports are that Bigelow and her co-writer Mark Boal were just getting to the casting phase of her planned action thriller currently titled "Kill Bin Laden" when the news broke yesterday that the real Osama Bin Laden had been killed

The singers were recognized for their web-savvy during the inaugural awards show.
Smith, at a mere 10 years old, has made an enormous hair-whipping print across the Internet. Her hit ?Whip My Hair? won Most Viral Dance.
Lady Gaga won Must-Follow Artist on Twitter and has held the record for the largest following on Twitter, with Justin Bieber close on her trail.

If your child is going to get in trouble and you have to pull out the "first + middle + last name" scolding, let it at least be a cool name like ?Tallulah Belle.?
Demi Moore and Bruce Willis got a chance to team up for parenting duties last weekend when 17-year old daughter Tallulah was caught up in an underage drinking situation.
According to TMZ, Tallulah and two other underage girls were nabbed by cops in Hollywood on Friday after stepping out of a car with alcohol in hand.

After Mariah Carey gave birth to two babies on Saturday, a spokeswoman reports Carey?s single "We Belong Together" was playing in the background.
The new son, weighing 5lbs, 6 oz. and the daughter weighing 5 lbs, 3 oz., belong to mommy, Carey, and husband Nick Cannon. The names of the newborns are unknown to the public.
The happy family was also celebrating the couple?s wedding anniversary (hence the love music).
