"The X Factor" might have missed the boat snagging Mariah Carey. Not coincidentally, "The X Factor" didn't have "American Idol" judge and previous Carey collaborator Randy Jackson. The multi-Grammy winner is reportedly close to a deal to judge the twelfth season of "Idol" on Fox this fall.
