The challenge this week is to create packaging, a commercial, and a launch event for 7-Up Retro. One contestant will have a 1970's theme and will work with the Harlem Globetrotters, the other will do the 1980's with Def Leppard. Plus, six celebs are back: Richard Hatch, Mark McGrath, Star Jones, Meat Loaf, Lil' Jon, and Latoya Jackson.

It's hard to de-throne a superhero flick when you're an R-rated comedy, but "Bridesmaids" tried its hardest this weekend.
Still, "Thor" placed first in box office grosses once again, pulling in $34.5 million. That's a drop of less than 50%, which is much better than the drop of 62% that "Fast Five" experienced in its second weekend.

I'll say this up front: before Friday's finale, I had never watched an episode of "Smallville" from beginning to end. That said, when I started watching the series finale on Friday, I was hooked from beginning to end.

The Top Three contestants on "American Idol" had their big homecoming celebrations this weekend as Haley headed back to Deer Park, IL, Lauren returned to Chattanooga, GA, and Scotty moseyed on back to Garner, NC (don't worry, James Durbin had quite the welcome as well).
But while the three remaining Idols party it up at home, the remainder of the competition looms.

A Hollywood god and a relative newcomer will soon come together and revisit a modern classic.
"Antichrist" and "Dogville" director Lars Von Trier and auteur director Martin Scorsese have "officially confirmed" that the two will partner to conceive a remake -- quite possibly, several remakes -- of Scorsese's 1976 grit-laden classic "Taxi Driver," according to Screendaily.

A VHS labeled "Working Cut" found at a flea market contains what is apparently an early cut of "Election" director Alexander Payne's intended ending, which reverses the movie's ultimate tone entirely, and has now surfaced via YouTube. Thus far, this isn't available via any known legitimate DVD release. Watch it here!
