Important note to self: if I ever become an easily-recognized personality who must keep his whereabouts as secretive as possible . . . trust not cab drivers. Completely unreliable, when keeping a secret.
A cab driver blogged this past November about about squiring Hugh Jackman from a Georgia airport to Jekyll's Island. That just happened to be where director Matthew Vaughan and friends were filming the Marvel prequel "X-MEN: FIRST CLASS."

Life comes with few guarantees, folks. Still, I'll make one right now: you'll never hear a word of complaint from me about a sexed-up Shannon Elizabeth once more gracing a theater screen.
That goes double for this news: Elizabeth was the last holdout from the original cast to sign on for the fourth theatrical "American Pie" installment. Note the past-tense: Deadline reports that Elizabeth has signed on and will join the shooting of "American Reunion" next week in Atlanta alongside her original "American Pie" co-stars Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari, Alyson Hannigan, Thomas Ian Nichol

Success is a double-edged sword for director Matthew Vaughan: sometimes, the movie world at large just won't let him be alone with the project that's still right in front of him.
Vaughan was grilled recently while promoting the upcoming "X-Men: First Class" about about whether he'll eventually expand upon that other superhero-story baby of his, 2010's "Kick-Ass."

OK, so Memorial Day isn't typically a gift-giving holiday, but we're a giving lot here at Yidio. So thank your Sleepless Daddy, and your uncles Worst Previews and YouTube, because we've got your restricted David Fincher-directed "The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo" trailer a week before its official debut.
With a soundtrack of Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Trent Reznor covering Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song," it really just plain looks f'ing amazing. Oh, and it comes wrapped in a pretty red band, too. Hope it fits!

Hip-hop star Sean Kingston is said to be do alright after a jet skiing accident in Miami last night.
The "Beautiful Girls" singer was apparently riding the watercraft with a female passenger on board. The accident happened when the pair tried to ride under a low bridge.
Both Kingston and his passenger were thrown from the jet ski and were rescued by a passerby.

Does two well-received turns deserve another? They do, according to the Weinstein Company.
According to MTV, once director Patrick Lussier and writer Todd Farmer complete their Clive Barker-backed "Hellraiser" remake, they could very well be picking up where musician/director Rob Zombie left off and continuing his re-imagining of John Carpenter's "Halloween."

Just a few days ago, we reported that Cheryl Cole had been fired from the U.S. version of "The X Factor," the new project from former "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell. The project has been plagued with drama from the beginning, as negotiations with Paula Abdul (also a judge) went down to the first day of taping.
The rumors surrounding Cheryl Cole's departure assumed that the reason might have been her slangy British accent, which even Cole admitted during the first day of taping might be hard for U.S. audiences to understand.

The box office slump was all anyone could talk about in the early months of 2011, but when we look back on it all we'll say is "what slump?"
That's because the box office is back, and it's back in a big way. And it owes it all to "The Hangover: Part II."
"The Hangover: Part II" came in first by a huge margin this weekend, pulling in an incredible $118.1 million in its first four days for an estimated $138 million with tomorrow's Memorial Day earnings.

Is there a little box office mojo left in the cutesy face of environmentalism? We'll find out in about five months.
Behold, the first trailer for "Happy Feet 2," the sequel to the 2006 Best Animated Feature Oscar winner that taught the world to live, love and have a healthy fear of global warming again. This time around, penguin tap-master Mumble and his dance-a-phobe tyke Erik must unite all arctic creatures again to combat more forces that threaten their polar environment.

Unless every theater across the nation suffers a power outage for two days, it looks like "The Hangover: Part II" will pass the $100 million mark with ease, becoming the first movie this year to do so, and probably shattering R-rated comedy records in the meantime. That can only mean one thing: three-quel!
But where will the third movie be set? Click through to find out!
