Well, the first movie made money. Logic dictates that we expect a sequel.
Variety reports that early talks are under way to bring "Yogi Bear" back to the big screen for an encore.
Last year's first combo live-action/animation feature far out-performed what even Warner Bros. executives probably predicted. It ended up grossing roughly $201 million for an $80-million budget film.

I never thought "Two and a Half Men" was a very good show. But a man in New York may have just taken Charlie Sheen hatred to the next level.
A Bronx resident has been arrested for calling up his local TV station, WPIX-11, and demanding that they stop airing reruns of "Two and a Half Men." The man threatened WPIX by saying that if they didn't stop the reruns, he would blow up the entire station.

OK, so with writer/director David O. Russell gone, maybe "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" will make the game-to-screen transition, and maybe it won't. That doesn't mean there aren't other video game franchises that could still make that leap!
Whether or not gamers like me want them to . . . well, totally different story.
In any case, the makers of the "BioShock" franchise insist the undersea adventure could still become a successful movie.

Oh boy, oh boy. I do hope John Cho likes the screenplay I'm writing especially for him. I call it "Mr. Sulu Goes To White Castle, Then Becomes A Futuristic Construction Worker Spy . . . Or Not".
It's, um . . . it's a working title. Don't judge me.
The actor who played Mr. Sulu in J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" re-launch and co-starred in "Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle" will next join the troupe rehashing Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1990 hit "Total Recall," says Entertainment Weekly.

Friendly advice from the Sleepless One, folks: don't watch a Guillermo del Toro flick right before bed. If you have a heart condition, don't watch a Guillermo del Toro flick with the lights out.
It isn't that he's some horror maven - not in that traditional Wes Craven or Clive Barker sense, where he would dwell persistently on what will most effectively scare the collective human waste out of audiences.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, J.Lo, but the world could soon get a lot more acquainted with you than you ever wanted it to get.
"American Idol" judge, actress and pop star Jennifer Lopez learned she lost a long court battle with first husband Ojani Noa to block the release of a tape Noa claims portrays the two in some steamy, intimate situations, according to Popeater.

For 10 seasons, "Smallville" operated under an overriding rule. More of a philosophy, really: "No tights, no flight."
And for 10 seasons, this worked surprisingly better than one now-infamous incidence when producer Jon Peters tried to give writer/director Kevin Smith a similar directive.
But with the dust settling around the final bow for the WB/CW stalwart origin story of Superman's early days, the creators are stepping up and giving fans some answers.

Metal-heads won't admit it, but the line between nerd and headbanger tends to blur a bit at times. If you need any proof, look no further than this year's "Revolver Golden Gods Awards" show, at which William Shatner was given the Honorary Headbanger award.
That's right, Shatner is totally metal.
The award was presented by comedian Brian Posehn, who is a metal fan and is known for his stand-up comedy and appearances on "The Sarah Silverman Program," and Scott Ian, guitarist for the metal band Anthrax.

If you're reading this, you can't tell me with a straight face that you wouldn't see this movie.
The headline couldn't be more plain: sharks attack a supermarket. Somehow, someway, I'm in without even needing a hyperactive Samuel L. Jackson screaming at me. Put me down for eleventy-billion tickets. Bill to Yidio's corporate account.

An accord could soon come down the pike between two Goliaths of digital media, reports the New York Times.
