Two more A-listers have joined the cast, breathing new life into a 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger hit. THR reports that Kate Beckinsale ("Underworld") and Jessica Alba (the two "Fantastic Four" movies, "Machete", "Sin City") are locked in to play female leads Lori and Melina alongside Colin Farrell in the "Total Recall" remake due to hit theaters next year.

I'd be the last to ever call Vin Diesel an "iconic" action hero. But give him his due, the franchises he's synonymous with wouldn't be quite the same without him. With that in mind, would I be hopping about like a Jack Russell terrier on speed for another "Riddick" movie? Not exactly, but I'd ultimately cave and see it. Would I see one without Diesel? To be more definite, no.

I admit, as both a gamer and a movie blogger, this tidbit gives me mixed feelings. Creative differences have apparently driven a wedge between "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" writer/director David O. Russell and Columbia Pictures, and the two have parted ways before work could begin on a big-screen turn for the first in a soon-to-be-trilogy of successful Playstation 3 games.

However much or little you may know of the late Charles Bronson, give the steely-eyed Hollywood tough this: even in death, he's not to be crossed. Bronson's estate has filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Warner Bros., claiming the studio has been under-reporting gross film receipts and gross film rental revenue for several of Bronson's films.

There are few things in this world of which I truly cannot get enough. French fries are one. The beach, certainly. Or the music of The Beach Boys, for that matter.
But nothing quite does the trick like The Muppets. Reruns of "The Muppet Show," the classic Muppet movies...heck, I'll take a bad Muppet movie in a pinch. But everything that's been released with this latest venture, simply titled "The Muppets," has been a delight. This latest trailer doesn't stray from that tradition, offering up a parody of the teaser for "The Hangover: Part II" (which came out in theaters today).

122 million votes were cast in this final episode of "American Idol." By the way, that's how many votes were cast in the 2004 election. Granted, people can vote multiple times here, but still. Way to go, America. Bush or Kerry? Scotty or Lauren? Find out who showed up in this two-hour medley of performances and featurettes, and learn the winner of Season 10.

J.J. Abrams, creator of "Lost," and Steven Spielberg of...well...Steven Spielberg, are teaming up on one of the most mysterious Hollywood projects in recent memory. Listen to two of the most influential filmmakers in the world of science fiction and entertainment in general talk about 'Super 8,' while still keeping its secrets closely guarded.

If you haven't seen "Bridesmaids" yet, I implore you to do so. It's the funniest movie so far this year (and I can include "The Hangover Part II" in that assessment), and one of the best overall. A recently released clip reel shows off cast's unused, improvised lines. Watch Jon Hamm be absolutely filthy and see a little boy insult Kristen Wiig here.

Today, Michael Sheen (otherwise known as Aro from the "Twilight" franchise) accompanied "Big Morning Buzz Live" host Carrie Keagan on set and read part of a fictitious story, written by a "Twilight" fan. The excerpt was pulled from FanFiction.net, a forum and archive for fan writers to post their own fictitious stories.

The "X-Men: First Class" marketing machine has been one of the most ferocious I've ever seen, but they certainly understand the importance of standing out in a crowded summer filled with four superhero movies and a half-dozen other films aimed at the exact same market.
But just when you thought they've run out of stuff to release (some have suspected you could assemble a rough cut of the film with what we've seen), they unleash one of the old marketing standbys - the leading lady in lingerie.
