June 03, 2011 @ 3:20 pm PST    Project Runway     Scott Nye
"Project Runway" has been on for so many years now, and gone through so many changes in management, that it's going to take a serious shot in the arm to get it back out to the huge mainstream success it once was. Wait, Heidi Klum is posing nude to promote it? Well done and done I'd say.

June 03, 2011 @ 5:20 am PST    American Idol     Andy Neuenschwander
It's the first big step into the music industry for any "American Idol" finalist: releasing their first hit single for the world to enjoy...or in some cases, not enjoy. But things are looking good for country-style finalists Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery. Scotty was the one to win the top spot on "American Idol," but did his single also outperform Lauren on the country charts?

June 03, 2011 @ 5:19 am PST    The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, MTV Movie Awards, Saturday Night Live, Twilight, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse     Andy Neuenschwander
"Saturday Night Live" has seen some tremendous hosts in the recent past, from the sneaky-funny Jon Hamm to former cast member Tina Fey to Justin Timberlake. But there are two people that "SNL" cast member Jason Sudeikis still wants to see host the show: "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

'The Voice' Takes a Tip from 'American Idol,' Adds Live Results Shows
June 03, 2011 @ 5:07 am PST    The Voice, American Idol     Andy Neuenschwander
All along, NBC's vocal competition show "The Voice" has wanted to show everyone that it's different from "American Idol." Cee Lo Green even spoke up before the show aired, saying that he thought shows like "American Idol" had "run their course." During the show, Adam Levine cracked that a lot of the talent that was being turned away could be in the finals on "Idol," but weren't quite up to "Voice" standards.

June 03, 2011 @ 5:05 am PST    Horrible Bosses, Going the Distance, In Bruges     Scott Nye
The new trailer for "Horrible Bosses" has come online, and it looks just as delightful as I'd guessed. Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, and Charlie Day star in it, and if that isn't a deadly combination, I don't know what is. Watch the trailer for "Horrible Bosses" here.

New 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' Trailer...Rises! (Watch it Here!)
June 03, 2011 @ 4:53 am PST    Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Planet of the Apes     Scott Nye
The apes invade! Monkeys everywhere! And it's all James Franco's fault. In the new trailer for "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," the CGI characters look pretty remarkable, James Franco is just off his rocker enough, and by the time the apes get revolting, I'm onboard.

June 03, 2011 @ 4:47 am PST    The Simpsons, Arrested Development, Youth in Revolt     Scott Nye
After getting his start on "Arrested Development," "Juno" and "Youth in Revolt" star Cera has pretty much steered clear of the small screen, but who can ignore the call of "The Simpsons"? In an upcoming episode, he'll play a slightly hipster-ish potential love interest for Lisa.

June 03, 2011 @ 4:39 am PST    Fear Factor     Andy Neuenschwander
If anyone tries to tell you that our collective tastes as a television viewing audience are getting more and more low-brow, hit them with this: "Fear Factor" is coming back, and it might actually be a little classier this time around. NBC is reportedly planning to reboot the competition series, which originally ran for six seasons before it was cancelled in 2006.

June 03, 2011 @ 4:37 am PST    Glee     Andy Neuenschwander
Matthew Morrison. Mark Salling. Naya Rivera. What do these three have in common? They're all on "Glee," and they all have their own record deals for a solo album. Rivera, who plays Santana on the hit Fox show, is the latest cast member to land her own solo record deal. Salling, who plays Puck, has one in the works and Morrison, who plays Will Schuester, has already released his (and featured a single on the show).

June 02, 2011 @ 9:46 pm PST    30 Rock, NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams     Scott Nye
If, like me, you've reached Thursday night and said to yourself, "Thursday was a lot better when '30 Rock' was on the air," you're in luck. But only in small doses. And animated. The "30 Rock" team has produced a series of animated webisodes, starring Alec Baldwin, detailing the adventures of "Jack Donaghy, Executive Superhero."
