Though the surrounding communities keep telling producers they're decreasingly welcome near their homes and businesses, the good people of MTV's "Jersey Shore" are apparently going nowhere. The network made it official Monday that the reality-TV hit will start filming its sixth season this coming summer, complete with a quite pregnant Snooki. Naturally, MTV's remarks about the returning cash cow informed us all just how much we love the vapid little jack-holes.

Being neither a husband nor a father myself, I can't say from experience, but there must be times all the world feels like a dangerous place for an expecting mother-to-be. Jessica Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson certainly might've felt a bit uncomfortable with how close the due-any-moment Simpson came to being felled by an errant tree branch recently, as reported by E! Online today.

Seeing Stephen Amell actually don the Green Arrow duds somehow makes The CW's latest DC Universe endeavor feel that much more....official. Deadline today has the network's first official still hyping "Arrow," the forthcoming origin story-ish pilot spun off from the legendary Emerald Archer's run on "Smallville." David Nutter has his ties to both shows - he was behind the camera for the "Smallville" pilot that led to a 10-season run, and he'll also be directing "Arrow."

For the sake of jinxing it officiall....maybe it's time to believe the hype and admit that maybe Lindsay Lohan really has taken the straight-and-narrow seriously. Lohan has endured a scare after an investigation into allegedly hitting a pedestrian then leaving the scene last week. It's with that in mind that the 25-year-old embattled "Mean Girls" and "Machete" actress has put herself under a self-imposed "lockdown" until her probation ends in just under two weeks, reports Yahoo OMG! by way of TMZ.

People have spent years wondering, if an airplane's black box can be found intact after even the most horrific and violent crashes, why not use build an entire plane from those materials? It's a fair question. Just as fair, after seeing this video from Gizmodo's Tech Assassin: how much safer and more durable could more products be if we only built them from the same stuff we put into and outside of trendy, gratingly ubiquitous, overpriced electronics?
OK, so the iPad 3 doesn't come away completely unscathed.

Peyton Manning spent many a year donning an Indianapolis Colt's horseshoe. How fitting he may enter his NFL career's twilight years similarly equine. Poetic witicism aside, USA Today and ESPN report that the four-time NFL MVP quarterback and former Super Bowl MVP has asked that agent Tom Condon start contract negotiations with the Denver Broncos. ESPN's Chris Mortensen broke the news late Monday morning on SportsCenter.

To hear "The Hunger Games" lead Jennifer Lawrence tell it, her art sometimes imitates life a little more than she'd like. Still, demand is demanding. Before the much talked-about Suzanne Collins adaptation's premiere this coming Friday, Lawrence said at a recent press powwow that Katniss Everdeen's fictitious fight for life in her dystopian future's annual prime-time death match sometimes doesn't feel too far off the truth.

The New York Times is to any ambitious author what the cover of Spin is to pale, mopey-looking indie rockers. It's just that Gwyneth Paltrow feels the renowned publication should've gotten some facts straight. The "Shakespeare In Love" Oscar-winner and "The Avengers" and "Iron Man" star reportedly took offense that the Times claimed her cookbook "My Father's Daughter" was ghostwritten, according to E! Online.
