Just how violent is movie adaptation of "The Hunger Games," set to hit theaters next week? Violent enough for British censors to demand that some of the bloody scenes be cut in order to give it the British equivalent of a PG-13 rating!

Give Simon Cowell this: the man knows how to dangle a carrot and get people drooling. The chatter has been endless since the ouster of "The X Factor" judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul speculating who would fill the two vacant chairs at the judges' table alongside acclaimed record mogul Antonio "L.A." Reid and "X Factor" creator and executive producer Simon Cowell.

Pour a warm glass of your own urine, then raise it to one now-departed Discovery Channel favorite. A Discovery rep has reported to E! Online that the network has "terminated all current productions" involving itself and "Man vs. Wild" star Bear Grylls.That rep also claims that the sudden split has sprung from "a continuing contractual dispute" between the two parties that apparently just couldn't be survived.

Deadline blames the annual "spring-forward" transition into Daylight Savings Time. I pray "The Bachelor" set an unpleasant precedent because the show might be approaching its eventual last legs. "The Voice" kicked the ABC reality show's butt all across the shows' head-to-head time slot. Meanwhile, the post-mortem "After The Final Rose" special actually managed to rate higher overall than the finale.

One wonders: is crow an active ingredient in many fragrances these days? After all, one hopes "The Voice" mentor Adam Levine wouldn't mind the smell. One of his cohorts just saw to it that he be served a fresh a helping. Christina Aguilera ribbed her prime-time peer a tad about the Maroon 5 singer apparently backpedaling from a certain jaded tweet about celebrity merchandising.

He's former TV-police personnel, and now maybe a real-life "victim." Ex-"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" star Gary Dourdan is taking a fight with California's Union Bank over his home to a courtroom. The actor has filed a suit that alleges constructive fraud by the lending institution and requests an injunction stopping his Los Angeles home's foreclosure.
