March 28, 2012 @ 7:05 am PST    New Girl     Andy Neuenschwander
The first part of Dermot Mulroney's guest appearance on "New Girl" has him playing the father of one of Jess' students. At first Jess hates him, but pretty soon she finds that he's handsome, successful and impossibly nice. Nick, meanwhile, falls in love with a desk.

'Ringer' Season 1, Episode 19 Recap - 'Let's Kill Bridget'
March 27, 2012 @ 9:03 pm PST    Ringer, Wild Things, Buffy The Vampire Slayer     Morgan Glennon
Everyone has murder on the mind in this week's episode of "Ringer". Siobhan fantasizes about killing Bridget in a scene that was produced entirely to be put into misleading promos. Bridget, as per usual, is nearly killed a million times. Agent Pretty Eyes delivers a beat down, loses his badge and nearly dies, which is really a Malcolm kind of day minus being tied to something.

March 27, 2012 @ 1:38 pm PST    The Hunger Games     Andy Neuenschwander
You can never quite get everything in a book into the movie adaptation, even if you go the "Harry Potter" or "Twilight" route and split one of the books into two movies. So what was different about "The Hunger Games," and did it hurt or help the movie?

'Alcatraz' Stumbles, Falls Into Grave With Series-Low Finale
March 27, 2012 @ 11:27 am PST    Alcatraz, Dancing with the Stars, The Voice, Castle, Smash     Sean Comer
Well, "Alcatraz" ended its first - and in all likelihood, only - season as it lived: fairly pathetically. The one-hour drama about seemingly deceased prisoners of the famed San Francisco penitentiary that once more walk the Earth pulled in 4.7 million viewers and earned an anemic 1.5 rating among adults age 18-49....a 6-percent slip to a series-low number. The two-hour finale helped put FOX into fourth place Monday night, averting the seppuku-worthy failure of getting beaten out by The CW.

'Prometheus' TV Spot Keeps The Hype Train Rolling (Video)
March 27, 2012 @ 11:00 am PST    Prometheus, Alien     Sean Comer
One could've forgiven anybody who'd previously lost "Prometheus" among the summer-movie shuffle presently dominated by "The Dark Knight Rises" and "The Avengers." One well-received teaser-for-the-teaser and a rave-reviewed teaser trailer later, the Ridley Scott space romp looks more and more like a must-see. With the film hitting theaters June 8, it's about time the TV campaign began.

For all its legitimate value and applications as a communication tool, few platforms unfortunately function quite as effectively as Twitter at helping tools communicate.

Justin Bieber Tweets Random Phone Number, Faces Legal Action
March 27, 2012 @ 9:32 am PST    Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, This Is Justin Bieber     Sean Comer
I'm old enough to remember a time when Facebook was restricted to people 18 years of age and older - specifically, to current and former post-high school students. Or as I'd rather call it..."the good old days." As a consequence of a moment of "Just what the f*** was THAT supposed to accomplish?", irritating moppett with a record deal Justin Bieber now faces possible legal action from a Texas couple whose phone number he published to 19 million Bieber-Fever patients.

When George Zimmerman's Attorney Walks Out, 'Last Call' Host Lawrence O'Donnell Interviews Chair
March 27, 2012 @ 9:04 am PST    MSNBC Undercover     Sean Comer
In a moment of punditry that broke bizarre, uncomfortable new ground, MSNBC "Last Call" host Lawrence O'Donnell found himself without a headlining he was. The interview must go on, it seems.
