After four years with a hit Bravo series, Sheree Whitfield saw things becoming just a little too "real" for comfort. That's why she's confirmed to not only WetPaint but her Twitter followers that she's exiting the Bravo's "Real Housewives Of Atlanta". She's leaving behind Peach State-based domestic drama castmates NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak, Phaedra Parks, Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey to carry on the franchise's banner.

Sadly, a man who paved the way for a Johnny Depp performance didn't survive to know how audiences took Depp's take on the character he made famous. Jonathan Frid, the thespian who originally played contemplative vampire Barnabas Collins in the 1966 daytime soap opera "Dark Shadows", has died at 87 years old. Frid's passing comes mere weeks before Depp hits theaters May 11 in director TIm Burton's adaptation of the classic serial.

"American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy had freely talked about returning season-one performers joining the FX hit's second season, but hadn't yet said much more. He's now letting the picture get a little bit clearer. Wednesday's "American Idol" began not so much with buzz about eliminations and stand-out performances, but with a latter-day pop culture icon bidding "goodbye" to a pioneer who paved his way. Host Ryan Seacrest had a working relationship and friendship - call them perhaps "apprentice" and "master" of ceremonies, if you will - with Dick Clark stretching back to 2005.
