With yet another popular media-sharing platform on board, Facebook's omnipresence and horizontal integration just keeps growing longer. The Mark Zuckerberg-helmed social media giant laid out $1 billion in combined cash and stock to purchase the massively popular photo-sharing platform Instagram, as The Los Angeles Times reported Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg announced Monday through a post on his own flagship platform.

Though an indictment against shooter George Zimmerman in Trayvon Martin's death may yet be coming, it won't arrive this Tuesday. It doesn't mean that there won't be charges against Zimmerman, who has claimed he shot the 17-year-old Sanford, Fla. young man in self-defense....simply that there's more investigation forthcoming.

CBS Confirms Death Of '60 Minutes' Anchor Mike Wallace

With a career spanning more than 60 years in tow, veteran CBS anchor Mike Wallace has died, CBS News reports. He was 93. Wallace died in Connecticut, the state where he resided, around 8 PM on April 7, as reported April 8 on "CBS Sunday Morning". His career spanned more than six decades and included clashes in interviews with personalities ranging from Louis Farrakhan, Malcolm X and two generations' controversial Iranian leaders, to Johnny Carson, Barbara Streisand and Lawrence Taylor.
