Elaine Stritch, a Broadway legend and comedic powerhouse, passed away today at the age of 89 at her home in Birmingham, Michigan.
Though the cause of death has not yet been revealed, Stritch battled diabetes for decades and had broken her hip and her pelvis last year in two separate accidents. The actress had just recently moved back to Michigan to be closer to relatives in 2013.
The four-time Tony Award nominee made her Broadway debut back in 1946, but continued to perform on stage all the way up her role in "A Little Night Music" in 2010.

He kicked things off on Monday with "Tacky," a song that parodies Pharrell's "Happy" and mocks people with no taste. On Tuesday, he went viral with "Word Crimes," a song parodying "Blurred Lines" that implores the people of the Internet to use proper grammar.
