Show of hands: Who's ready for a singing, dancing Christopher Walken dressed like a pirate?
That's what you'll be getting if you tune in this fall to NBC's live performance of "Peter Pan." The musical special is rumored to have its first starring cast member in Christopher Walken, who will play Captain Hook.
One might not immediately equate Walken with musicals, but those who saw the music video for Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" know that the actor has some serious dancing skills.

Today was a bittersweet day for the "Glee" family.
One year ago, on July 13, 2013, "Glee" star Cory Monteith died of a drug overdose in Vancouver. The tragedy sent shockwaves through the entire entertainment industry, as well as through the community of "Glee" fans.
Today, Lea Michele and other members of the "Glee" family paid tribute to the loss of Monteith.

Another season of "American Horror Story," another set of creepy promos!
The first teaser trailer for the new season of the hit FX horror anthology has hit the Web, and it falls right in line with a long tradition of unsettling promos for the series.
Ever since the first season, "American Horror Story" has provided a series of 20-second promos featuring spooky imagery paired with oddly unnerving music that tend to hint at themes of the upcoming season.

What would you do if Rihanna pulled you on stage and gave you a lap dance?
I'm sure you'd like to think that you'd be all cool about it. Maybe you'd turn and give a wink to the crowd. Or maybe you'd be really bold and give Rihanna's ass a slap a la Michael Cera (retaliatory slap be damned).
But in reality, you'd probably do exactly what this guy did.

The "Harry Potter" family is mourning the death of one of their own today.
British actor Dave Legeno, who played the villainous werewolf Fenrir Greyback in the Harry Potter movies, was found dead on a hiking trail in Death Valley, California, on July 6.
According to reports from police, the 50-year-old actor had been hiking the trails, which are in one of the hottest and driest places in America, when a hiker unacquainted with Legeno discovered his remains.

Another young "Glee" cast member has lost a boyfriend.
Tragedy struck actress Becca Tobin as her boyfriend, nightclub owner Matt Bendik, was found dead Thursday afternoon in a hotel in Philadelphia. Bendik, 35, was reportedly on a business trip to Philly.
Few details have been released about Bendik's death, but there are no mentions of alcohol, drugs or weapons having been found in Bendik's room when police arrived.

Will the next great American detective be Irish?
Deadline is reporting that Colin Farrell is in "deep talks" to play one of the leading roles in season two of HBO's "True Detective." If cast, Farrell would take the torch from Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, who starred in the first season of the anthology show.
Each season of "True Detective" will feature a new cast and a new location, though HBO and series creator Nic Pizzolatto have been exceptionally secretive about any details for the upcoming season.

This is according to a study performed by Stephen Winzenburg, communications professor at Grand View University. We know that the term "study" is being used fairly loosely here, but we're willing to overlook that.

Laverne Cox made history today...but we're not sure it's sunk in for her yet.
The "Orange Is the New Black" actress became the first transgender person in history to earn an acting nomination at the Emmy Awards. Her nomination in the "Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series" category was announced this morning.
"I absolutely dreamed about this," Cox told E! News in an interview today.
