For those of whom have ever wondered if Oprah Winfrey was some sort of god… or a mother of, there is now proof in your hypothesis.

According to Yale professor Kathryn Lofton, there is an actual science behind Oprah Winfrey’s spiritual nature.

Lofton’s new book, “Oprah: The Gospel of an Icon” calls Oprah’s philosophy “The Gospel of You” – which is based on the idea that people don’t have to be perfect, but should always work toward their “best self.

As we reported last week, after shrugging off social media in general in an article for The Huffington Post, Paul Reiser found the premiere week ratings for his NBC comedy "The Paul Reiser Show" were pretty awful. Turns out they've only gotten worse.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reiser is staring in the face of some seriously gruesome ratings for his new show in its second week.

Mel Gibson finally came out of seclusion and granted entertainment journalist Alison Hope Weiner an interview this week, which she provided to Deadline Hollywood. Gibson's latest film, the Jodie Foster-directed "The Beaver" comes out in limited release May 6th.

When asked if he regretted the things he said on the tapes recorded by Oksana Grigorieva, the mother of his eight-month-old daughter, he responded "of course," but qualified further.

The spec script war is back on, at least where Dan Fogelman is concerned. After years of writers complaining that they can't sell a script that isn't based on an already-existing property, Fogelman (who had a hand in writing "Tangled," "Bolt," and "Cars") has made millions selling "Crazy, Stupid, Love" (set for release this summer), "Imagine" (on which he'll make his directorial debut), and "My Mother's Curse" (which is in production right now).

If you are hitting the theater this Easter weekend three films are opening in wide release. A romantic drama, a comedy and a nature film debut today.

"Water for Elephants": Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon sparkle in this drama about a veterinary school dropout who joins the circus and finds forbidden love in the process. Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz and Hal Holbrook also star.

The search for the new Bourne star is over. After a lengthy casting a screen testing process, Universal has finally decided on Jeremy Renner to be the new face of the franchise after the departure of Matt Damon.

Given Renner's track record so far, it's an excellent choice: Renner has been nominated for Oscars two years in a row, one for "The Hurt Locker" and once for "The Town.
