Hollywood is not for Lady Gaga, but a hot new remix says that Bollywood is.
Gaga recently gave “Born This Way” another remix with an Indian twist. Indian music composers, Salim and Sulaiman gave the Gaga hit new vocals and Indian instruments like the sitar, dholak, and dhol.
While Gaga is hot for India’s center of film production, she says Hollywood is not for her and likens her attempts to embrace the culture to a very graphic reaction.
Welcome back, Greendalers! It's been three weeks since the last new episode of "Community," so I'm sure everyone was as happy to see "Competitive Wine Tasting" as I was.
The gang essentially split off into pairs this week to take electives: Jeff and Pierce opted for a wine tasting class, Troy and Britta went for acting, Abed (ever the loner) took a class on "Who's the Boss?" and Annie and Shirley.
Liz and Kenneth are on a mission: find Tracy and get him back. I'm on board for that; "30 Rock" just hasn't been the same without Tracy Jordan's antics.
Jack, meanwhile, is a little depressed about the state of affairs at NBC. As he puts it, "We produce more failed pilots than the French Air Force."
Determined to make a project that "works," he sets out with Jenna to help make her torture porn movie profitable.
HBO must be banking on a lot of success with "Game of Thrones," as the network is already planning another fantasy series. This one could have an even bigger impact on new HBO subscriptions, though, as it will have author Neil Gaiman and his cult following behind it.
HBO is planning to adapt Gaiman's Hugo and Stoker Award-winning novel "American Gods" into a series, as written by cinematographer Robert Richardson and, of course, Gaiman himself.
Last night brought some great performances in some strange genres. Tonight brings a strange fan holding up a sign saying "Steven is the most beautiful man in the world." Which Steven are you looking at, kid, because I know you don't mean Ghost Rider down there.
Scotty and Lauren kick things off with "American Honey" by Lady Antebellum. Really, just once I'd love to see Scotty go out there and try to sing an R Kelly song or something.
Yeah, bet you didn't see that one coming. That is, unless you heard about it when it was announced...
Either way, Will Ferrell is indeed starring in "Casa de mi Padre" (House of My Father), which despite being in Spanish, bears a lot of similarities to Ferrell's typical output. Ferrell seems to play a slightly over-confident brute (see also "Anchorman," "Talladega Nights," "Blades of Glory," etc.
Are soap operas as we know it an endangered species? After today, it sure as hell seems so.
ABC announced this afternoon that it will be cancelling two of the longest-running soaps in TV history. "All My Children" will be going off the air in September and "One Life to Live" will close the shutters in January. As NPR points out, that leaves only General Hospital, Days Of Our Lives, The Young And The Restless, and The Bold And The Beautiful remaining on the air.
Here's a word of advice to all of the soap operas being cancelled: maybe you should try switching to a 15-minute format. It works for "Eagleheart."
The wacky 15-minute comedy series "Eagleheart" has been renewed by Adult Swim for a second season. The show is one of Adult Swim's few live-action shows, and is produced by Conan O'Brien (among a list of others).
Actor and comedian Paul Reiser, who is probably best known for his long-standing series "Mad About You" and from the wayback machine "My Two Dads," just got his first dedicated TV series in over ten years. And there's one part of the TV biz that he apparently just doesn't want to be a part of - social media.
Reiser, whose relevance to younger audiences may be at this point pretty much slim to none (except for maybe his on and off role on "Curb Your Enthusiasm"), penned an article for "Huffington Post" (which, as a blog, would tec
