TV and Movie News (page 1402)
Last night's "Dancing With the Stars" brought us elimination results, but it also brought us some juicy news of next week's show. Apparently, the recently-ousted "American Idol" contestant Pia Toscano will be performing on "DWTS" next week!
Did her "good friend" Mark Ballas vouch for her and bring her in? We don't know, but we do know this: Pia's performance will be accompanied by Mark's dancing! Now, I know they're not official, but is there anyone out there who doesn't think that these two are a couple?
We're finally back, gleeks. It's been a long hiatus, hasn't it? Well, some things have changed around McKinley, the first being that Brittany is (gasp!) totally smart!
She's a fill-in for the academic decathlon with Artie, Tina and Mike (aka "The Brainiacs"), and it turns out she's totally awesome at random trivia. Also an academic decathlete: Sunshine! Yep, she's back, and she's going to belt one out later.
As he is wont to do, Christian Bale is not merely sitting back and waiting for those Batman checks to clear. He even has another big-budget blockbuster coming out - Zhang Yimou's "Nanjing Heroes."
Now, sure, Yimou doesn't have the name recognition of your Christopher Nolan, and the titular heroes are not super in any way, but with a roughly $90 million budget, this is among the most expensive Chinese films of all time.
Beyonce’s unreleased single, “Girls (Who Run the World)” is running through the web after photos from the music video surfaced online just last week.
The song is all about girl power and comes at a time when two other talented divas, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, are also presenting new albums.
Beyonce’s track samples beats from producer Diplo and Switch’s song “Pon de Floor.
Be careful what you tweet...especially if you're working on "Glee."
A few days ago, an extra by the name of Nicole Crowther took to her Twitter to reveal some spoilers about the prom episode of "Glee." Don't worry, I won't reveal them here, but trust me when I say that they were big ones, the kind that could ruin the surprise of an otherwise amazing episode.
If you're wondering why "Skynet" has been trending on Twitter, it's because today is Judgement Day.
That's right! According to "Terminator 2: Judgement Day," the date that the computer network Skynet becomes self-aware and begins its war against all mankind is April 19th, 2011. The movie is even specific enough to give us a time: 8:11pm. That's probably Pacific time, considering the movie's location.
The double controversy never ends for Natalie Portman.
First Portman gets an earful from a dancing double who maintains she deserves credit for most of the dancing done in the actress' Academy Award-winning role in "Black Swan," now comes word that Portman's butt had a double in "Your Highness."
In this challenging economy, the fact that the studio was willing to waste money on something so unnecessary has many Americans (okay, maybe just us) up in arms.
Last night's network ratings are in, and they bring numbers on the 20/20 special that ABC aired. You know, "William and Catherine: A Modern Fairy Tale"? Hosted by Barbara Walters? Yeah, I didn't watch it either.
The special brought in 7.7 million viewers, which isn't bad but it was low enough to be beaten by "Hawaii 5-0" by a window of about 3 million viewers.
We can all finally stop speculating about Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard as far as their roles in "The Dark Knight Rises" is concerned: Warner Bros finally confirmed the two for the final Batman movie, and revealed their roles. The movie-watching community at large has been speculating on which roles the two would be playing for weeks now.
And boy, were we all wrong.
Sonny with no chance of Demi returning...
After three months of in-patient treatment for an eating disorder and issues with self-harm, Disney princess Demi Lovato says farewell to her hit show, "Sonny with a Chance."
The singer/actress confirmed to People magazine in this week's issue, "I don't think going back to Sonny would be healthy for my recovery.
