April 26, 2011 @ 3:31 pm PST    Gossip Girl     Allie Basilica

If you have never watched “Gossip Girl” before last night’s episode, don’t start now. The return of a prince comes in the midst of a sentencing with the addition of a new cousin and during the search for a mother. BONUS: Who ever thought we would see the use of Gossip Girl laid out in a tutorial? This show is exhausting.

Serena is teaching Cousin Charlie a thing or two about the business of getting into everyone’s business.

Episode 'Bethenny Ever After' Season 2, Episode 9 - 'Break 'Em Early' Recap
April 26, 2011 @ 3:31 pm PST    Bethenny Ever After, Skating With the Stars     Allie Basilica

After last week’s nightmarish Thanksgiving episode, I was hoping for a more calm, cool and collected Bethenny. Although that sounds impossible, she was a smidge less neurotic last night (though her neurosis is somewhat endearing.)

For me the highlight of this episode comes in the opening scene. Bethenny has just arrived at the Hilton for her book signing and she is exploring the Presidential Suite when she comes upon a bidet.

Did 'Britain's Got Talent' Strike Boyle Again, Or Is Edward Reid a Fraud? Watch and Decide
April 26, 2011 @ 2:51 pm PST    America's Got Talent     Richard Sharp
When 35 year-old Glaswegian drama teacher Edward Reid ambled on stage for a recent episode of the British talent show, hopes for the cravat-wearing vocalist were not high. When he busted out a wailing cabaret-style medley of nursery rhymes, however, the resulting reaction caused media and the audience to (perhaps artificially) harken back to Scottish frump-sation Susan Boyle, who shocked the audience with her mountain-scaling arias.

'South Park' Teases New Season With 'HumancentiPad' Clip
April 25, 2011 @ 3:26 pm PST    South Park     Scott Nye

At this point, you've heard of "The Human Centipede" or you really, really don't want to and I'm not going to be the one to ruin your...life.

Tom Six's breakthrough film garnered more attention as an online meme than an actual film - it didn't even make the half-a-million mark at the worldwide box office (though it has done much better on home video, where you don't have to go through the shame of asking the ticket counter for "one for 'The Human Centipede'"), and critics and audiences agreed it made for a better shocking con

How Trump's 'Celebrity Apprentice' Presidential Plugs Could Give the Obama 2012 Campaign Free Prime Time Air
April 25, 2011 @ 3:11 pm PST    Celebrity Apprentice     Richard Sharp

If the recent high-profile fights he's been picking are any indication, Donald Trump seems likely to run for the Republican candidacy against Obama, and it looks like he's planning on using "Celebrity Apprentice" as a free promotional vehicle to do so.

"On the May 22 season finale of 'Celebrity Apprentice,' Mr. Trump may announce the time and place of a press conference at which time he will make a statement as to whether or not he will run for president of the United States," said a recent release from the show's producers.

'Glee' Extra Nicole Crowther Speaks Out, Says She Didn't Spoil From On Set
April 25, 2011 @ 12:36 pm PST    Glee     Andy Neuenschwander

Nicole Crowther may be the world's most famous extra, but she claims she wasn't even on set when she learned about a juicy "Glee" spoiler...and subsequently tweeted it.

Crowther claims that she heard about the spoiler at a dinner party through another person who had been an extra on set that day. Thus, while Crowther might still be to blame for tweeting the spoiler, she did not violate any code of ethics or contract agreements.

'Treme' is Back...With Music Galore!
April 25, 2011 @ 12:34 pm PST    Treme     Elizabeth Sexton

Treme, HBO’s beloved show about New Orleans' recovery, is back for a second season.

Created by David Simon and Eric Overmyer, who worked together on "The Wire," the series, which shares an emotional, culturally-infused trip through the Big Easy in the aftermath of Katrina, is like candy for the eyes, ears, and heart.

Starring recent Academy Award winner Melissa Leo, Steve Zahn and a cast of little known talent like Kim Dickens and Khandi Alexander, the show is far less plot-driven than "The Wire.

NY Bosses Go to War: Robert DeNiro and Donald Trump Exchange Heated Insults
April 25, 2011 @ 12:10 pm PST    Celebrity Apprentice     Richard Sharp

Dude, Donald, have you never even seen "Taxi Driver"? "GoodFellas"? "Casino"? How about "Cape Fear"? Maybe "Raging Bull"? We're just sayin' - there's a lesson in there somwehere, buddy.

After Robert De Niro spoke out against potential presidential candidate Donald Trump's recent comments on the long-running Birther conspiracy theory, a war of words has broken out.

April 25, 2011 @ 11:59 am PST    Coyote Ugly     Allie Basilica

Wasting no time at all, Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes made it official Friday.

The wedding took place at a private residence in Malibu in front of 40 of their closest friends and family. The bride wore a Reem Acra gown for the intimate affair which involved the groom's two sons from his previous marriage to model Brandi Glanville.

April 25, 2011 @ 10:56 am PST    Glee, Gossip Girl     Elizabeth Sexton

The most influential people in the world, according to Time magazine, include Barack and Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, and blossoming super stars Chris Colfer and Blake Lively.

In the past year, both young stars have been making headlines and shaping minds in some way or another.

Chris Colfer’s impact as an incredibly popular ‘Glee’ star has brought attention to the issues of sexuality and bullying for gay teens.
