May 18, 2011 @ 11:00 am PST    $#*! My Dad Says     Andy Neuenschwander
When the dust settled from the upfront presentation frenzy, CBS had continued on without its freshman sitcom "$#*! My Dad Says." When Justin Halpern, the creator of the show, reacted to the cancellation on his blog, his humility proved to have remained intact. "It was a bummer," wrote Halpern, "until I remembered that I got a TV show based off a twitter feed and a book and was basically the luckiest a**hole who ever roamed this earth."

For a long time, I thought Matt Stone and Trey Parker made up the succubus when they had Chef marry one. But it turns out the concept - a demon who seduces men and feeds off sexual energy - has been around for centuries. And so it has come to this. After "Dawson's Creek" launched her career, Michelle Williams played it pretty classy, starring almost exclusively in films guided by a strong directorial voice. Her biggest film to date in terms of budget and cultural presence was a Martin Scorsese film ("Shutter Island"). She starred in "Wendy and Lucy," "Synecdoche, New York," "Blue Valentine," and "Meek's Cutoff." Now she's a witch in a Disney film.

In the 80's "Teen Wolf" was a cult-classic. Now, MTV is bringing the high school werewolf back but this time to the small screen. On June 5, after the MTV Movie Awards, the all-new "Teen Wolf" TV show will premiere. Great timing, MTV, simply great. The original film, starring Michael J. Fox, was more fun and fantasy than serious but the new take is a darker depiction of a boy turned werewolf.
