Daniel Radcliffe Glad He's Not Robert Pattinson
August 22, 2011 @ 9:15 am PST    The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2     Richard Sharp
As the face of one of the most famous and financially successful film franchises in history, Daniel Radcliffe has had to find a way to handle his massive fame. The man who plays Harry Potter reportedly dealt with it by drinking for a while, but battled back that demon that and is now learning to savor the fleeting nature of fame. All in all, though, he thinks Robert Pattinson has had it a lot harder with the "Twilight" franchise.

August 22, 2011 @ 8:00 am PST    MTV Video Music Awards     Richard Sharp
When she's not dressing like a mermaid, exploring her farm fetish, making out with herself or giving a shout out to Nebraska, Lady Gaga apparently has time to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards. One day after Gaga released the cyber-rural music video opus "You and I," MTV made the announcement that Gaga would be appearing at the VMA's August 28th, and released a series of appropriately racy promo videos to accompany the announcement. Watch the promo videos here.

August 22, 2011 @ 7:41 am PST    The Glee Project, Glee     Richard Sharp
Last night's grand finale of "The Glee Project" was a certifiably wacky one. Finalists Damian McGinty, Samuel Larson, Lindsay Pearce and Alex Newel faced final judgement, and an ultimate decision about the next stage of their careers from "Glee" producer Ryan Murphy. Spoiler alert: Find out who won here.

Big Ugly Liars: General Mills, 'Pretty Little Liars' and Homophobia
August 22, 2011 @ 7:01 am PST    Pretty Little Liars     Britt Ashley
Earlier this year the Florida Family Association, a conservative "moral watchdog" group with ties to the notoriously homophobic organization Focus On the Family, set its sights on ABC Family's popular show, Pretty Little Liars. The FFA asserts that the show's portrayal of main character Emily Fields, who came out as queer in Season 1, is sending a message that "reinforces and legitimizes [the] homosexual lifestyle." General Mills, I know what you did with your advertising money this summer, and I think it's total bulls^&t.

'Breaking Bad' Season 4, Episode 6 'Cornered' Recap
August 22, 2011 @ 6:48 am PST    Breaking Bad     Andy Neuenschwander
For a second, I thought this was a re-run: "Cornered" opens with a shot that's almost identical to the beginning of "Bullet Holes": a condensated breath of air in a refrigerated truck. But this time when the cartel attacks, they're much cleaner and more precise...in fact, their plan to pipe the truck's own exhaust back into the compartment seems like something Gus or Mike might do.

'Pretty Little Liars' Controversy: Advertisers Leaving Over Lesbian Content
August 21, 2011 @ 6:17 pm PST    Pretty Little Liars     Richard Sharp
Are you a fan of "Pretty Little Liars"? The show and our recaps of it are some of the most popular content on Yidio, but according to the Florida Family Association, the content in the show is offensive. The group is leading a boycott of businesses who advertise on the show, and apparently it's starting to work. General Mills and Remax have both reportedly left as advertisers of the show recently.

'True Blood' Episode 9 Preview: Hoyt and Jessica Trouble (VIDEO)
August 21, 2011 @ 10:00 am PST    True Blood     Andy Neuenschwander
Last week, we saw the breakup that had been building for a while finally happen, as Jessica dumped Hoyt first in her dreams, and then in real life. Major bummer for the sometimes-cute sometimes-obnoxiously dysfunctional "True Blood" couple, but even more of a bummer in how Hoyt reacted. The preview videos for this week's episode of "True Blood," entitled "Let's Get Out of Here," show us the fallout from said break-up.
