Can Elise and Carrie possibly play up this rivalry any further? It's gone from juvenile to straight-up childish. Elise actually runs around with a bottle of wine, yelling "Look at me, I'm Carrie!" People get engaged amid wacky circumstances all the time. Sometimes it's accidental, sometimes it's planned. This time, it's just...plain...awesome. The gent got down on bended knee at the Wizard World Comic Con in Chicago recently. Luckily, his girlfriend said yes, but just to make the whole thing right, the pair received the most prestigious blessing a couple love-struck Trekkie could get. Indie director Kevin Smith recently revealed during a Montreal "Red State" screening that his directing coda "Hit Somebody" will be a two-parter. Smith explained that he considered the story about a legendary hockey fighter who just wants one professional goal scored couldn't be contained within one flick. He actually once considered it better geared toward a TV series, now that you mention it.

When TLC released their fall schedule and "Kate Plus 8" wasn't on it, we suspected the show was about to be cancelled. Now it's official. A TLC representative released a statement to People acknowledging the cancellation, though also suggesting it might not be the last we see of Kate Gosellin on the network.
