The CW is doing quite well with a slate of shows about superhuman beings - from its show about vampires ("The Vampire Diaries") and witches ("The Secret Circle") to its long-running "Supernatural." Now the creators of that popular monster-hunting saga are creating a new series based on the little known DC Comic "Deadman."

After one questionable hip-hop rumor site claimed they had been offered "a sex tape for sale which shows R&B singer Rihanna and rapper J Cole" another gossip rag is reporting that Larry Flynt from Hustler has reportedly purchased the alleged tape and is weighing options on how to release it as we speak.

ABC Family has taken a stand...against pot jokes and juvenille peeing comedy apparently. The network is refusing to air a trailer for the Paul Rudd comedy film "Our Idiot Brother" unless the filmmakers eliminate a scene showing a drug sale, a clip of Rudd miming urination using a juicebox, and references to getting high.

Michael Showers, star of HBO's critically acclaimed "Treme," was reportedly found dead and floating in the Mississippi River yesterday morning. He was 45. The actor recently appeared in shows like "Breaking Bad" and "The Vampire Diaries," and acted in the recent movies "I Love You, Phillip Morris" and "The Tree of Life." No cause of death has been determined, but he had been in the water for two days, according to authorities.

"The Hunger Games" doesn't come out until March 2012, but the studio has been doing an excellent job of promoting the movie starring Jennifer Lawrence and based on a wildly popular series of young adult books. Lawrence will intro the first footage released from the film at the MTV Music Awards on Sunday. If you can't wait until then, see a brief clip here!
