Will Lady Gaga Dress Normal at the VMAs? MTV's Twitter Tracker Hints at Surprises
August 27, 2011 @ 8:51 am PST    MTV Video Music Awards     Elizabeth Sexton
A look at Twitter content during last year's VMAs shows that Lady Gaga (and her meat dress) took the gold in trending topics. Of the 2.3 million tweets related to the show, Gaga held 9,200 tweets per minute. Fans take to Twitter to guess what she may have up and on her sleeves, while we wonder if Justin Bieber can escape his fans sloppy digits (and the misspelling of his name).

Dear 'Game of Thrones': Please Stop Casting New People
August 27, 2011 @ 8:43 am PST    Game of Thrones     Andy Neuenschwander
In which we reveal all of the new actors joining season two of "Game of Thrones," including three new characters, and I reveal that I can't even remember half of the characters from the first season.

Brad Pitt Saves a Woman's Life Amid Zombie Battle
August 27, 2011 @ 8:39 am PST    Tree of Life     Elizabeth Sexton
Brad Pitt pulled a Kate Winslet Thursday night, literally saving a woman from being trampled on the set of his new movie "World War Z." The zombie apocalyse film is based on Max Brooks' popular novel. The production team was filming a mob of people running from the living dead when a woman fell, and was saved by Pitt while cameras rolled.

Ricky Gervais Requested to Host the Golden Globes...and the Oscars
August 27, 2011 @ 8:30 am PST    The Golden Globe Awards, The Academy Awards     Andy Neuenschwander
Ricky Gervais hosted the Golden Globes last year and pretty much delivered what he promised he would - a right proper English dressing down of Hollywood and its phonier element. It was unsparing and it was hilarious, but the Hollywood Foreign Press Association didn't seem to think so. No mind, NBC has reportedly asked Gervais to host the awards show again. Oh, and apparently the Oscars are calling now as well.

Seriously? A 'Ghostbusters 3' With No Bill Murray? Just Say No
August 26, 2011 @ 7:40 am PST    Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, Stripes, Caddyshack, Spies Like Us, The Blues Brothers, Strange Brew     Richard Sharp
"Ghostbusters 3" would be awesome, but without Bill Murray it would be a putrid, hollow facsimile of its original glory. Yet Dan Akroyd is talking smack about doing a sequel without Murray if the comedy genius doesn't want to participate. We say "No Murray, No Ghostbusters 3."

Yidio Best and Worst of the Week: Viral Video Muppets and Jim Carrey's Emma Stone Weirdness
August 26, 2011 @ 7:00 am PST    The Muppets     Andy Neuenschwander
It's time for the Best and Worst of the Week. Kate Winslet plays a bona fide hero for Richard Branson, the Muppets rock out and Ryan Gosling breaks up an honest to goodness street fight in the Best of the Week. The Worst, unfortunately, comes with some weird Jim Carrey humor, a classless Amy Winehouse charity blocker and a censorship double whammy.

'Jersey Shore' Season 4, Episode 4 Recap - 'Crime and Punishment'
August 26, 2011 @ 6:15 am PST    Jersey Shore     Andy Neuenschwander
Last week was a real "Shore" cliffhanger, as we were left wondering how The Situation would possibly deal with Deena busting up his potential menage trois with a little bi-curious thievery of a virgin twin. This week they're leaving us with another doozy of a nail-biter. Now that Mike has riled up Ronnie's bull, will he be able to avoid the horns?

Banned in China: Lady Gaga and Katy Perry Too 'Vulgar'
August 26, 2011 @ 6:05 am PST    American Idol     Andy Neuenschwander
Ya know, someone should give us a little advanced warning about these things, 'cause we'd totally plan a special party for it. China's Ministry of Culture just released their third annual list of songs that are banned from distribution due to being too vulgar or lacking taste, starring Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and (you guessed it) the Backstreet Boys.
