'Glee' Gets Another Guest Star: Why This Won't Help Anything

"American Idol" runner-up Jessica Sanchez looks set to join the fourth season cast of "Glee" this September. It will make for nice co-promotion alongside the first season pairing the show alongside "American Idol." But does anyone else remember when this show had a great first season with minimal involvement from major guests?

If you've paid rapt, undivided attention to Katy Perry's Twitter, you already know that "July 5" will be coming a few days early for some of her 22 million followers. That's when special U.S. and Canada previews start for her 3-D concert film, "Katy Perry: Part of Me." Today, Perry and Paramount Pictures released a special hashtag to let fans get an early jump on buying passes.

Radiohead Re-work European Tour After Tragedy

Tragedy has, expectedly, put several planned Radiohead tour dates on hold. The band announced via its website today that in the wake of drum technician Scott Johnson's death during a stage collapse in Toronto last weekend, several European dates will be rescheduled. Meanwhile, the band plans on resuming performing July 10.

Are you ready for an "American Idol" to "Glee" cross-over? Is the world ready for that? No seriously, will it cause some kind of musical teenybopper explosion? I'm concerned. It just might happen: TVLine reports that Sanchez is in talks to join "Glee" season 4 in some capacity. Word is that Sanchez will sign on for a multi-episode arc if the deal becomes a reality.

Supreme Court Rejects FCC Profanity, Nudity Fines

The war isn't over, but the FCC drops a battle. The Supreme Court ruled today against $1.24 million in fines handed down to ABC and 45 affiliates through the years. Though the Court ruled that spontaneous profanity and extremely brief nudity weren't nearly the severe no-nos the agency claimed, it declined ruling against the overall indecency policy the agency holds over broadcasters' heads.

Twitter Outgrows The 140-Character Standard

Twitter has needed to change very, very little. Whereas Facebook gets more needlessly complicated constantly, 140 characters is still 140 characters. Even with the roll-out of "expanded tweets" to select users, it still will be. It's now just 140 characters with an optional "preview" button.
