That's 'Professor James Franco' To You!
March 29, 2011 @ 9:34 am PST    Your Highness, 127 Hours     Andy Neuenschwander

James Franco has just about done it all as far as acting goes: he's starred in everything from TV comedy-dramas ("Freaks and Geeks") to daytime soaps ("General Hospital"), from wacky comedies ("Your Highness") to Oscar-nominated films ("127 Hours"). On top of that, Franco has hosted the Oscars, all while studying for his master's degree at NYU.

But Franco still isn't satisfied that he's busy enough.

Holy Superhero Rumors, Batman! Will There Be a 'Justice League' Movie in 2013?
March 29, 2011 @ 6:32 am PST    Justice League, The Dark Knight Rises, Superman: Man of Steel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Green Lantern, Entourage, The Avengers     Andy Neuenschwander

With "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" soon to hit theaters and end the HP franchise, Warner Bros. is going to have to find a new cash cow to lean on.

In a recent piece on new WB president Jeff Robinov, The LA Times has a theory on which direction WB will go: the direction of DC superheroes.

The article states that Robinov is "aiming to release new 'Batman' and 'Superman' films in 2012 and 'Justice League,' a teaming of DC's top heroes, in 2013.

Two Wrongs: Sharon Osborne Grills Larry King on Sex (Watch the VIDEO)
March 29, 2011 @ 6:29 am PST    The Talk, Larry King Live     Elizabeth Sexton

Warning: unpleasant imagery approaching.

Larry King stopped by “The Talk” to chitchat with the ladies over bagels and a side of sexual inquiry.

While breaking bread, Sharon Osborne bit the bat on the head – so to speak – and took direct aim.

"Your wives have been historically beautiful, young," she said. "Have you ever had sex with a woman my age?" the 58-year-old asked.

Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn Romance is Official...and Gross
March 29, 2011 @ 6:22 am PST    Iron Man 2, Milk, Green Lantern     Andy Neuenschwander

Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn are officially a couple, and it's officially kinda weird.

According to Us Weekly, the 26-year-old Johansson and 50-year-old Penn were in attendance at Reese Witherspoon's wedding to Jim Toth this weekend. After the wedding, Johansson and Penn stopped in at Jimmy's Bar at the Ojai Inn and Spa. There, Penn lead Johansson by the hand to their table.

Ice Cream. Potato Chips. And Cake. Is There Anything More to Life?
March 29, 2011 @ 6:18 am PST    Late Night with Jimmy Fallon     Elizabeth Sexton

If you give a celeb-writer a story on Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, she is gonna try it.

Insert: me, celeb-writer.

After writing about Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night Snack, I started fantasizing about the sweet and salty combo of potato chips and ice cream. Could I make this genius-miracle myself, I wondered.

At the time, all I had in-house was a bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos and some off-brand cookie dough ice cream in the freezer.

What Does 'The Hangover Part II' Poster Reveal?
March 29, 2011 @ 6:17 am PST    The Hangover: Part II, The Hangover     Elizabeth Sexton

The new movie poster for “The Hangover: Part II” was released Monday, hinting at the literal monkey business the boys will get into.

Looks like they replaced Mike Tyson’s tiger with a monkey, and audiences can expect face tattoos and shaved heads.

Apparently the premise behind the sequel to the 2009 hit “The Hangover” takes the men to Bangkok for a pre-wedding brunch in Stu’s honor.

Teresa Palmer In Talks For 'Twilight' With Zombies Movie 'Warm Bodies'
March 29, 2011 @ 6:02 am PST    Twilight, I Am Number Four, True Blood, Twilight, The Vampire Diaries, Take Me Home Tonight     Andy Neuenschwander

With "Twilight," "True Blood" and "The Vampire Diaries" all covering the vampire-human romance (and the werewolf-human romance), it's time to movies to start covering new ground in supernatural love stories.

So here's the million dollar question: could anyone ever love a zombie?

Summit Entertainment thinks so. The studio that brought you the "Twilight" films is heading into new (yet still familiar) territory with "Warm Bodies," a movie that centers on a love story between a zombie and a human.

McRunner Takes on 'Super Size Me'
March 29, 2011 @ 6:00 am PST    Super Size Me     Elizabeth Sexton

A marathon runner may have taken inspiration from the hit documentary “Super Size Me.”

The film made by Morgan Spurlock documented the disastrous results for Spurlock’s health while living on a 30-day diet of pure McDonald’s.

That didn’t stop athlete Joe D’Amico, a father from Palatine, Ill., from following in Spurlock’s footsteps.

'Barefoot Contessa' Snubs Make-A-Wish Child and Tries to Make Right
March 29, 2011 @ 5:59 am PST    Barefoot Contessa     Elizabeth Sexton

The Barefoot Contessa could be sticking her barefoot in her mouth.

After refusing to meet a 6-year-old boy with leukemia who twice requested a cooking session with her through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Contessa (Ina Garten) has had a change of heart.

Garten was served a heaping of bad press after word leaked that she had responded to the request of Enzo Pereda by turning down him down, citing her book tour and other engagements.

'Superbad' Director to Helm Aaron Sorkin's HBO Pilot
March 29, 2011 @ 5:56 am PST    Superbad, Paul, Adventureland, The Daytrippers, Arrested Development     Scott Nye

Unsurprisingly, a new Aaron Sorkin TV project has a way of drawing talented people to it. Jeff Daniels is in talks to star, super-producer Scott Rudin is overseeing the whole affair, and now Greg Mottola is onboard to direct the pilot.

Mottola is still best known for "Superbad," one of the few projects from the Apatow factory with a clear directorial vision, and more recently "Paul," a movie I and quite a few others were a little disappointed in.
