From playing one of two gay dads on "Glee," Jeff Goldblum will drop right into Sarah Silverman's developing NBC comedy pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The veteran actor star of "The Fly," NBC/USA spinoff "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," and both "Jurassic Park" and its sequel "The Lost World" has signed up to play Sarah Silverman's ex-boyfriend in the accerbic comedienne's semi-autobiographical sitcom in the making "Susan 313.

It might be too late, but conservative radio show host Rush Limbaugh has decided he'll cut his losses and apologize for calling Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke a "slut" and "prostitute" on his show repeatedly last week. Limbaugh issued a full statement via his website Saturday backing off his remarks disparaging Fluke's testimony before an all-Democratic mock congressional committee concerning whether insurance coverage of contraceptives should be mandatory.

Look on the bright side, kid: two years is a decent amount of time to ponder just where the crime went wrong. That's how long E! News reports 21-year-old Bling Ring burglar Nicholas Prugo will be spending behind bars after pleading no-contest to stealing from famous marks Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge. Prugo copped the plea today to a two-year prison term and testimony against his three accomplices in exchange for prosecutors dropping the burglary charges he faced for breaking into the homes of Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom and Paris Hilton.

First, "American Horror Story" gets back Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild honoree Jessica Lange. Now, Zachary Quinto will also rejoin the FX thriller from Ryan Murphy when the sophomore season bows this October, reports Deadline. Like Lange, Quinto won't be reprising his previous character, former owner of the doomed Harmon family's home Chad Warwick. Nevertheless, also like Lange, he'll once more be a regular among the second-season cast as a whole new character in a story set against an East Coast mental institution backdrop.

Oh, it's just not fair sometimes. Imagine if schedules had been flipped, Lil' Wayne had made his scheduled "Jimmy Kimmel Live" appearance last night, and Lindsay Lohan had guested on Kimmel's show instead of "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." America could've been treated to the two troubled entertainers exchanging fairly-recent legal system tour impressions.

Lil' Wayne's a busy guy. We'd probably all just excuse him mixing up a date and time here and there, and maybe missing an appointment as a result. Luckily, when life hands Jimmy Kimmel lemons, he tosses them and makes Kool-Aid. The multi-platinum rapper missed a scheduled "Jimmy Kimmel Live" interview last night, so the ABC late-night host made the best of what was around.

'Twas a given that it would probably happen. Now, it can be confirmed: next week, "American Idol" honors the late Whitney Houston. Well, the competing fairer sex will, anyway. The ladies that survived this week and made it into the Top 13 - for those who haven't yet read the recap here, that would be Jessica Sanchez, Hollie Cavanagh, Shannon Magrane, Elise Testone, Skylar Laine and Erika Van Pelt - will be showcasing their talents by interpreting some hits from Houston's catalogue.
