The members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences must have been watching a lot of "Lost" recently, or at least some M. Night Shyamalan movies. Why? Because they've added a shocking twist to the Oscar nomination process for Best Picture!
It's only been a couple of years since the Academy expanded the list of Best Picture nominees to 10, in an attempt to get more audience-friendly movies in there and give them a chance of winning.

Zombies are in. They're hip. They're vogue. They're so in style that the upcoming zombie apocalypse flick "World War Z" has already landed names like Brad Pitt and is closing deals on two more: "Lost" star Matthew Fox, and veteran actor Ed Harris.
"World War Z" is an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Max Brooks. The story takes place a decade after a zombie outbreak nearly wiped out the entire human race, but a number of survivors still live and fight to stay uninfected.

Usually books get adapted into TV shows, and not the other way around. But when it comes to "Parks and Recreation," apparently the rules go out the window.
The NBC comedy is going to release a book soon about the town of Pawnee, which is of course completely fictional. The book will be written from the perspective of starring character Leslie Knope, played (to perfection) by "Saturday Night Live" alum Amy Poehler.

On Sunday July 10, VH1 will premiere "Famous Food," a new show that gives racy reality stars the chance to put their name to a hip Hollywood restaurant just like Ashton Kutcher's Geisha House. The glories of VIP seating and unlimited bread baskets could soon belong to those who have grown famous for being famous, but of course, they'll have to work for it first.

First "The World According to Paris," and now this!
The Oxygen Network's new reality competition series "The Glee Project" premiered this week with high hopes for a successful run. It had everything a "Glee" fan could want: a tie-in to the actual "Glee," singing and dancing, drama, and even an appearance from Darren Criss.
But the premiere episode debuted to a mere 455,000 viewers.

In the latest episode of "The Bachelorette," Bentley and his complete lack of a brain-to-mouth filter screen are gone, as is Zorro's unemployed brother Jeff, but their legacies live on. Well, Bentley's does. Ashley Hebert scarcely goes ten minutes without reminding us all that, yes, she is in fact still thinking about him. In a surprise move, the show's cast is headed to Thailand.

Art imitates life. And sometimes life imitates art...at least when it comes to being an honorable hero such as the one Sean Bean plays on "Game of Thrones."
Bean, who plays Ned Stark on the freshman HBO series, was standing outside of a bar in London with his girlfriend, model and Playboy bunny April Summers, when a drunk man approached and began taunting Summers about the topless modeling she has done in the past.

A very pregnant Tori Spelling got into a car accident yesterday while being chased by an overzealous paparazzi, causing her to jump a curb and crash her car.
"Paparazzi chased me w/the kids 2school," Spelling tweeted. "I was trying to get away from him and had a pretty big accident. Took down whole wall of school."
