As big a pill as it is to swallow, it seems that William Shatner has maybe had himself a change of heart and will not make an iconic appearance in the upcoming sequel to J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" reboot. The original Capt. James Tiberius Kirk broke the bad news during a Q&A Saturday at the 2011 Calgary Comic Expo.

We don't really know if this season's "Bachelorette" Ashley Hebert is a big "Seinfeld" or "Curb Your Enthusiasm" fan, (though Jesus Fish, why wouldn't you be?) but we get the feeling she's probably ordered every season available of both shows on DVD within the last day or so. Hebert popped up on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" to talk about this season's biggest development, the con played out over the course of several weeks by foul-mouthed cretin Bentley Williams, and Larry David had a few choice words.

It looks like a couple new roosters will march into the Hamptons hen house this summer when USA Network's "Royal Pains" kicks off its sophomore season June 29. Concierge doctor Hank Lawson's (Mark Feuerstein) brother Evan (Paulo Costanzo) could have his hands full soon keeping a couple fresh faces from the women in his life.

There are good reasons to be dubious about this, but if this were to prove genuine, it would be one of more recent great surprises from a major studio. The official line has been that the first trailer heralding the coming of "The Dark Knight Rises" to finish off Christopher Nolan's run as director of Warner Bros.' Batman franchise will debut with "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2" on July 15.

It's been a really, really, really tough year for daytime TV. ABC cancelled "One Life to Live" and "All My Children," Oprah shuttered her doors, and the morning talk shows were seemingly one giant revolving game of musical chairs. The awards game must go on, though, and they will at The Daytime Emmy Awards on CBS this Sunday. Wayne Brady will host and Pat Sajak and Jeopardy's Alex Trebek will both be given Lifetime Achievement Awards.

'Transformers' News: 'Dark Of The Moon' Releases Early; Spielberg In To Direct Fourth Film?

With less than two weeks before it's supposed to hit theaters, let's hope this is the last time "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon" gets a rescheduled release date. Also - Tyrese Gibson lets it slip that producer Steven Spielberg may come aboard to direct a fourth film, if one's to be made. Once upon a time, the third "Transformers" installment was set to hit theaters on Friday, July 1. Then Paramount Pictures got anxious and decided the film would debut Wednesday, June 29.
