After checking out the first promo pic of Tom Cruise in the Rock of Ages, with killer abs, the iconic 80's long hair and tight pants, it's hard to believe he just turned forty-nine years old. And to celebrate, wife Katie Holmes threw her couch-jumping husband a big fat surprise bash this weekend at the SoHo Beach House.

Well, this can only be an omen of great things to come.
NBC mid-season debut "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea" has slashed almost half its ensemble cast, cutting loose former "White Collar" co-star Natalie Morales, "ER" alum Angel Laketa Moore and stand-up comic and "Chelsea Lately" mainstay Jo Koy.
Well, this can only be an omen of great things to come.

Legendary prank-caller Ralphige has gotten one over on Donald Trump, Paris Hilton and Chris Brown with his vocal guerrilla warfare. And the estate of the late, great Michael Jackson has all but legally admitted that the crank-yanker successfully pulled a fast one on the King of Pop, too, convincing Jackson that he was Akon.

Last week's episode left us with the captured skitter, Tom's prisoner of war, waking up at the same time as Ricky. Is there a connection there? You bet. And this week's episode revealed a little more about it.
But before that, Tom and his crew (minus Mike, who probably lost some brownie points for breaking rank last time) head off to find some motorcycles for recon purposes.

What happened when videographer Jeremiah Warren strapped a tiny, $120 dollar wide-angle HD camera to a boatload of fireworks and hit record? Patriotism, my friends. Sheer, unadulterated patriotism.
In today's Yidio Video of the Day, we take a few very brief, very fast and explosive rides on the back of an assortment of fireworks. If you're looking to get your America on, this is the YouTube equivalent of mainlining the scene from "Rocky IV" where Rocky takes down Ivan Drago. Watch "Camera on a Firework" here.

What could go together more perfectly than the 4th of July and giant robots? Michael Bay brought his own fireworks to theaters this weekend with the typically explosion-heavy "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," the third movie in the "Transformers" series.
How did it do at the box office? Quite well: over the three-day weekend, "Transformers 3" grossed $97 million, giving it the best domestic opening of the year.
