Episode 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Season 8, Episode 1 - 'The Divorce' Recap
July 11, 2011 @ 8:55 am PST    Curb Your Enthusiasm     Andy Neuenschwander
If you had hopes at the end of last season that Larry and Cheryl would patch things up, forget about it: the first few minutes of the season eight premiere of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" sees the two almost making up, until Cheryl causes a ring stain on the wood table. That's enough to set Larry off again ("Do you respect wood?"), which is enough for Cheryl to leave. Again.

New 'Adventures of Tintin' Trailer Blasts Its Way Online; Watch a Preview of Spielberg's First 3D Adventure
July 11, 2011 @ 8:45 am PST    The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn     Scott Nye
Steven Spielberg is one busy man. Not only is he seemingly producing a movie every other week this summer ("Super 8," "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," "Cowboys & Aliens"), he has not one, but two new movies coming out this December. And not just producing efforts, mind you - he directed these things. And while we've only had teases at each ("War Horse" and "The Adventures of Tintin"), we now have a much clearer idea of what we're in for with his first 3D computer-animated movie.

Episode 'Falling Skies' Season 1, Episode 5 - 'Silent Kill' Recap
July 11, 2011 @ 5:38 am PST    Falling Skies     Andy Neuenschwander
The plot to rescue Ben is finally amping up (haven't they been saying "We'll get Ben tomorrow" for weeks?), and the captured skitter is still chillin' at home base. By the end of the episode, one of them is going to be much worse off. But which one?

Episode 'True Blood' Season 4, Episode 3 - 'If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin'?' Recap
July 11, 2011 @ 5:36 am PST    True Blood     Britt Ashley
Eric has a wicked case of witchcraft-induced amnesia and you guys, it is beyond adorable! He spends the episode bumbling about like an eager to please, super lethal Labrador. All his sociopathic suaveness is just gone and in its place is this awkward, inappropriate innocence. Alexander Skarsgard is knocking it out of the park in all his scenes, and it is so very fun to watch.

Weekend Box Office: Did 'Horrible Bosses' Dethrone 'Transformers 3?'
July 11, 2011 @ 5:00 am PST    Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Horrible Bosses, Zookeeper, Cars 2, Bad Teacher, The Hangover: Part II, Bridesmaids, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2     Andy Neuenschwander
Apparently, the raunchy comedy movie is back in a big way. After "The Hangover: Part II" set all kinds of records and "Bridesmaids" became the highest-grossing R-rated female comedy ever, it's not surprise that "Horrible Bosses" also did well this weekend. But did it do well enough to take first place over "Transformers: Dark of the Moon?" Not quite.

PETA Protests 'Zookeeper' Premiere, Blames Giraffe Death on Film's Producers
July 11, 2011 @ 4:00 am PST    Zookeeper     Morgan Glennon
The hits keep on coming for the new movie "Zookeeper" starring Kevin James and Rosario Dawson. Panned by critics and with only a 15% approval rating on the Web site Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has now found itself in PETA's crosshairs. A group of animal rights activists took to the streets outside a Regency Village Cinema in Westwood, California with signs to demonstrate against the film's premiere.

Los Angeles Gallery Features Amazing 'Harry Potter' Fan Art
July 11, 2011 @ 4:00 am PST    Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2     Andy Neuenschwander
I believe it was Benjamin Franklin who said, "In this world only three things are certain: death, taxes, and fan art." Whenever there is a cultural phenomenon on the level of Harry Potter, you can bet that fans will be making art inspired by it. Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, California is making the most out of that fact by hosting an art show comprised of all Harry Potter-inspired fan art, just in time for the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Hines Ward Arrested, Charged With DUI (Update: Ward Denies He Was Drunk)
July 11, 2011 @ 4:00 am PST    Dancing with the Stars     Richard Sharp
Update: Hines Ward, who was pulled over and booked last night in DeKalb County, Georgia for a DUI, is disputing the fact that he was drunk at the time. Ward's representatives released a statement to Pittsburgh papers today, saying, "From our preliminary investigation we can tell you that we are confident that the facts will show that Hines was NOT impaired by alcohol while driving. However, Hines is deeply saddened by this incident and apologizes to his fans and the Steelers organization for this distraction."

'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Season 8 Preview: More Outrageous Than Ever?
July 10, 2011 @ 11:30 am PST    Curb Your Enthusiasm     Andy Neuenschwander
In a world where people are getting increasingly sensitive and comedians seem to be getting increasingly shocking just for the hell of it (*coughcoughTracyMorgan*), we have one hero to put us all in our place: Larry David. The "Curb Your Enthusiasm" creator/star is back with the 8th season of the hit HBO show on Sunday, and of course he's ready to piss of more people as the semi-fictional version of himself.

'True Blood' Episode 3 Preview: Scary Eric and Judge Bill (VIDEO)
July 10, 2011 @ 11:15 am PST    True Blood     Andy Neuenschwander
Last week's episode of "True Blood" left us wondering about Jason's fate, Sookie's run-in with Eric (and Eric's run-in with the witches), and Bill's new role as Vampire King. Those issues will be addressed this week in episode three, "If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin'," and here are some clips to tease it! The first clip brings us back to Jason and his interesting predicament.
