If I may hazard a guess, I'd wager that it probably gives dark-horse Oscar nomination contenders fits whenever an upcoming drama includes the description "co-written, directed by and starring George Clooney." Talk about amazing luck. Academy Award winning director Katherine Bigelow, who won Best Director for "The Hurt Locker," and her partner on the film, Mark Boal, were working on a movie about the hunt for Bin Laden at the very moment that he was killed.
As Deadline Hollywood describes it, "when bin Laden was killed, Boal and Bigelow were well along on a project called Killing Bin Laden, about the so-far unsuccessful attempt to kill the mastermind of the 9/11 terror attacks.
