It's hot these days in Texas. Ridiculous hot. Endless days of hundreds hot. And while the weather forecasters are saying things like "we can't even buy a cloud," at least the state can see something cool coming their way in the future. Bravo announced today that the new season of "Top Chef" will take place this season in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.

Of the many, many shows on television that I would love to see turned into a movie (let's get a "Cake Boss" movie going, everyone! Time's a-wasting!), "The Hills" is not on my list. In fact, I did a little jig the day "The Hills" went off the air, because I assumed (correctly) that it would mean the end of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. You're probably alone on that one, but here's some good news for you, superfan: you're about to get more "Lincoln Lawyer." ABC is reportedly developing the Matthew McConaughey movie into a new TV show.

When Bank of America tried to foreclose on a home that they didn't actually have a mortgage on, the Florida couple that owned the home decided to tell them to stuff it, and the only lawyer who would take their case and battle the banking behemoth was a kid fresh out of law school. Particularly today, when the economy and the toilet continue to spiral down the toilet, what happens next will put a smile on your face.

Talk about a rough, rough night. Singer Gavin DeGraw, who is currently on tour with Maroon 5, was savagely beaten by a group of thugs last night in NYC, and then hit by a cab as he stumbled away after the attack. The singer is currently in the hospital recovering from injuries sustained during the attack and resulting accident.
