VH1's "Behind the Music" on Adam Lambert is coming up, and judging by this preview video, it looks like it's going to deliver on its promises of revealing more about Lambert's rise to fame than ever before. Did "American Idol" deliberately play up Lambert's sexuality in a bid to draw in more viewers?
Lambert famous lost the "American Idol" crown to Kris Allen amid speculation that Lambert was gay. It was that fact that many think might have caused Lambert to lose, seeing as "Idol" winners are determined solely by a fan vote.

It would seem that the producers of "American Idol" can rest easy now that Jennifer Lopez is back on board. After all, she was part of the new judging panel that lead the reality show to a resurgence after a few years of languishing ratings. But with J.Lo's pay jumping from the $12 million that she got for last season to a whopping $20 million for this coming season, is her return really the best thing for "American Idol" and its fans?

A tree in Ohio is in danger of dying. That wouldn't normally be news, but when the tree is the famous oak that played a major role in "The Shawshank Redemption," it is. A harsh storm last week damaged the tree to the point where it might have to be cut down. Recent photos of the tree show that the trunk was split near the bottom and half the tree is now on the ground.

We open on our little liars holding their twice-daily murder conspiracy check in and feelings circle in Spencer's car late at night. Apparently she managed to skip out on her secret meeting with Officer Friendly unscathed but still shaken. Handily, Garrett shows up just as the girls are processing how and why he ended up with Jenna's arts and crafts lantern. Jenna is waiting in the window decked out in Ray Bans and her finest merry widow lingerie set.

Brett Easton Ellis - he who disturbed us with the insanely cold-blooded-yet-somehow-still-comedic masterwork "American Psycho," and defined the hollow empty core of the eighties with "Less Than Zero" - is reportedly working on a new film with legendary writer/director Paul Schrader, who penned the scripts for "Taxi Driver" and "Raging Bull." Apparently it's a nice, light summer romp about rich teens getting eaten by sharks. Count us in.
