Newlywed Alec Baldwin Drops Twitter Account
July 02, 2012 @ 2:33 pm PST    30 Rock     Sean Comer
Well, Internet....we won't have Alec Baldwin to kick around anymore. Well, not on Twitter, anyway. Days after getting married, Baldwin wholly ditched the microblogging platform. His exit stage-right comes not long after rants against the New York Daily News and New York Post.

'The Amazing Spider-Man' Outlook: By The Numbers....
July 02, 2012 @ 1:57 pm PST    The Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises     Sean Comer
It will take a lot for "The Amazing Spider-Man" to stack up remotely close to those "other" two superhero movies making waves this summer. "Superman Returns" or even "Batman Begins" receptions won't do it. An opening matching what "Spider-Man 2" took in would be ideal. For now, Sony is hoping for something on par with another major feature that didn't resurrect a franchise, but launched a studio....

So far, so good: Naomi Watts certainly looks the part of the late Princess Diana of Wales that she's playing in the upcoming "Caught In Flight." The biopic centers upon Diana's post-divorce relationship with heart surgeon Dr. Hasnat Khan. The role was originally to go to Jessica Chastain, who was forced out by scheduling conflicts.

'The Big Lebowski' Sequel Hoax Pulls One Big 'Gotcha!'
July 02, 2012 @ 12:47 pm PST    The Big Lebowski     Sean Comer
Pro-Tip: Carefully consider the validity of any story credited to "The Ass Press." A faux-news report announcing the coming of a sequel to "The Big Lebowski" made it further than it every reasonably should have - even a CBS outlet initially confirmed it. The Coen Brothers, of course, have never had any interest in following up on their 1998 comedy classic.

One More New Poster Before Tuesday's 'The Amazing Spider-Man' Release
July 02, 2012 @ 12:04 pm PST    The Amazing Spider-Man     Sean Comer
What's a great hero without an equal villain - one who hunts the paragon of virtue and poses every bit of a threat? "The Amazing Spider-Man" emerges into theaters Tuesday, and it finally does what Sam Raimi never got around to finishing: addressing the beginning of The Lizard. And this poster may hint that Dr. Curt Connors will make the beginning Spider-Man the prey.

July 02, 2012 @ 10:14 am PST    BET Awards, South Park, MTV Video Music Awards , Keeping Up with The Kardashians     Andy Neuenschwander
You may remember, a few years back at the MTV Video Music Awards, how Kanye West interrupted poor Taylor Swift, sparking a popular Internet meme as well as a pretty good episode of "South Park." Well, vengeance comes eventually, even if it might be a little late.

Anderson Cooper Officially Comes Out as Gay
July 02, 2012 @ 9:37 am PST    Anderson Cooper 360, The Big Bang Theory     Andy Neuenschwander
When "The Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons came out back in May, it didn't come as a huge surprise. In fact, Parsons' approach to the whole thing was to toss the announcement aside, presumably because his sexuality is his own business, and we (or Hollywood, anyway) should be at a point where a celebrity's sexuality isn't that big a deal.

'Falling Skies' Season 2, Episode 4 Recap - 'Young Bloods'
July 01, 2012 @ 11:55 pm PST    Falling Skies     Andy Neuenschwander
Another down week for "Falling Skies" it seems, as we seem to be pretty heavy on the sentiment lately and short on action. There was a bit to get excited about this week, but a lot of it was bogged down in emotion based, once again, on characters that we don't even care about, or barely even know.

'True Blood' Season 5, Episode 4 Recap - 'We'll Meet Again'
July 01, 2012 @ 11:29 pm PST    True Blood     Andy Neuenschwander
Things are starting to take a turn into crazytown on "True Blood," but thankfully we still have a few good scenes each episode with the characters we actually care about to keep things going. Here's a run-down of the events in Bon Temps during "We'll Meet Again."
