American Singer/Songwriter Teena Marie, Dead at 54

Just after the holiday there is sad news to report from the music world. At only 54, R&B singer Teena Marie has passed away.

The sudden death sent shock waves through the music world. Everyone from Diddy to Mary J. Blige to Common expressed their deep sadness and sympathy across the Twitterverse.

Teena, a protege of music legend Rick James, was one of the few white aritists who really made an impact on R&B music, she was even nickenamed "The Ivory Queen of Soul".

Well it got much more serious over the Holidays between Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner and playmate/girlfriend Crystal Harris.

Hugh popped the question to Crystal, 24, on Christmas Eve while sharing gifts and told the world through Twitter.

"After the movie night, Crystal & I exchanged gifts.  I gave crystal a ring.  A truly memorable Christmas Eve, " Hefner, 84, wrote.

Moviegoers favor Little Fockers, tops box office during the holidays

For two consecutive days since its opening on Wednesday, Little Fockers has been topping the box office in Canada and United States.

On Thursday, the movie starring Robert DeNiro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand made an estimated $7.1 million in ticket sales accumulating $14.3 million in two days.

The box office result shows that majority of moviegoers prefer the comedy film to enjoy a good laugh this holidays.

It has just been reported that Lisa Vanderpump from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was involved in a brutal attack early this morning at the posh Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills hotel.

According to TMZ, Lisa, her husband Ken, and news reporter Robert Kovacik were in a booth when a man began harassing them with unacceptable verbal taunts.

Lisa said that the unidentified man was "extremely drunk" and was shouting:

Rabbit Hole star Nicole Kidman nominated for Golden Globe

Nicole Kidman, the star of the independent movie Rabbit Hole, which is about a mother who has to deal with the death of her child, has been nominated for a Golden Globe award.

The independent movie was recently released in many theatres in the United States, and is based on the Pulitzer prize-winning play by David Lindsay-Abaire.

Aaron Eckhart also stars in the movie as Kidman's partner, and Nicole actually produced the film as well as starring in it.

Inception star Leonardo DiCaprio named 2010 highest grossing actor

We all know that the top Hollywood actors earn millions of dollars every year, but star of the recent Sci-Fi blockbuster Inception, Leonardo DiCaprio, has surpassed himself this year.

The Hollywood star has been named as the Forbes.com 2010 highest grossing actor because of his strong acting skills, and his huge box office hits including Inception and Shutter Island.

Forbes reported that DiCaprio has managed to gross £1.

James Cameron’s blockbuster film is not just successful in the box office but also the most pirated movie of the year.

According to Torrent Freak, the multi-awarded movie was downloaded from the torrent site 16, 580,000 times, 33% higher from last years’ most pirated movie Star Trek which was downloaded from the same website by 11 million times.

Although Avatar has been pirated more than 16 million times, the movie still made a whopping $2.

Anne Hathaway Delays Judy Garland Project

Anne Hathaway, the star of the hit movie The Devil Wears Prada, recently gave an interview, where she explained why there had been delays in a movie project that she is involved in that will depict the life of the Hollywood superstar Judy Garland, best known for her role as Dorothy in the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz.

Hathaway said that the project was a very sensitive one, which was why it had experienced delays, but she added that she was hoping production would start in the next two years.
