Netflix users haven't had a lot to be excited about recently. First there was the price increase. Then the rise and fall of Qwikster made the company a punching bag, spawning headlines, jokes and SNL skits.
But today, there's a reason to say "Good job, Netflix!" Especially if you love CW programming.

So far on this fourth season of "Jersey Shore," we've seen Ronnie and Sammi argue, Ronnie and The Situation fight, Snooki and Deena fight at the bar, Snooki throw glass bottles at Sitch, and now the preview clip for this week's episode has even more fighting happening at the club. Can't we all just get along?

This week on "The Vampire Diaries," the Klaus search continues, but Caroline has different priorities: Senior Prank Night. She lines up a fun prank for her to carry out with the help of Elena, Bonnie, Matt and Tyler, but of course things take a turn. After all, this episode is called "The Reckoning." What do you get when you take some ex-stuntmen, add in some real Navy SEALs, and start filming? Apparently, what you get is a film called "Act of Valor." The new film started as a recruitment video for the military, but somewhere along the line those involved realized that they had a chance to do something we don't often see in movies: show the real thing.

It was a good day for The CW today, as well as for its three new shows. Consequently, it's also a great day if you're a fan of "The Secret Circle," "Hart of Dixie" or "Ringer." All three shows have survived the treacherous early fall season gauntlet that has laid waste to many a show.

"Ringer" is about to get a little injection of "Buffy" magic. Or at the very least the freshmen CW show will welcome a formerly magical guest star when Amber Benson stops by in a guest spot. Fans of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" will remember Benson as Willow's girlfriend and fellow witch Tara.

Well huzzah to that. HBO's highly decorated new series "Boardwalk Empire," which recently began a stellar season two, has been officially renewed for a third season. In just its first season on the network, the show garnered 8 Emmy Awards out of 18 nominations, including one for Martin Scorsese for directing the pilot.
