Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest By: Sean Comer
If he doesn't sign a new contract, 2012 could be Matt Lauer's last year co-hosting NBC's "Today." Could he find himself edged out by "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest? Entertainment Weekly reports he started talking with NBC suits Tuesday morning about taking the gig.

"Jersey Shore" has an odd season schedule, but at least it makes mid-season a little more exciting, doesn't it? "Shore" is just one of a pair of reality shows premiering mid-season for MTV, and both of them are accompanied by a brand-new scripted comedy.

NBC is reporting that shots have been reported fired on the campus of Virginia Tech, the scene of a horrific massacre 4 years ago. The Virginia Tech website released a warning about gunfire and the entire school is currently on lockdown after a police officer was apparently shot by a white male suspect.

To commemorate (for lack of a better word...what's the opposite of "celebrate?") the final episode of "Community" before the indefinite hiatus that NBC has given the show, New York magazine decided to get the cast members together and have them play a game of Trivial Pursuit.
