It Resumes is the second episode of the first season of W.I.T.C.H., an animated series that follows the adventures of five teenage girls with magical powers. The show is based on the Italian comic book series of the same name, and was produced by French animation company SIP Animation. This episode originally aired on April 29, 2005.
The episode picks up where the first episode left off, with the five girls - Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia, and Hay Lin - having just discovered that they have been imbued with mystical powers and must use them to fight evil and protect the world of Meridian. In this episode, we see the girls trying to adjust to their new roles as guardians and figuring out how to control their powers.
At the beginning of the episode, the girls are still reeling from their encounter with the evil sorcerer Phobos in the previous episode. Although they managed to defeat him, they are still shaken by the experience and unsure of their abilities. They also have to deal with the fact that they can no longer lead normal teenage lives - their newfound powers mean that they have to be on constant alert for danger.
The girls decide to resume their normal routines, but they quickly discover that that is easier said than done. Will, the leader of the group, is struggling to balance her responsibilities as a guardian with her schoolwork and social life. When she gets a bad grade on a test, she worries that she is letting her friends and the world down. However, she quickly gets a chance to redeem herself when the girls are called into action again.
The source of the new threat is a runaway train that is hurtling towards a crowded station. Sensing danger, the girls transform into their guardian forms and go to investigate. They soon discover that the train is being controlled by a mysterious figure who is using magic to keep it moving. The girls try to stop the train using their powers, but they are unable to slow it down.
As the train approaches the station, the girls realize that they need to come up with a new plan. They use their powers to create a barrier around the station, which slows the train down enough for them to leap on board. Once they are on the train, they confront the mysterious figure - who turns out to be a creature made of pure energy.
The creature is revealed to be a former guardian of the Veil, the magical barrier that separates the worlds of Meridian and Earth. The Veil was destroyed during the girls' battle with Phobos in the previous episode, and the creature has been released from its prison as a result. The creature is angry and confused, and is lashing out at the world in an attempt to regain its power.
The girls try to reason with the creature, but their words fall on deaf ears. They are forced to use their powers to defeat it, and they manage to send it back to its prison. However, they realize that this is only the beginning of their troubles - the destruction of the Veil has unleashed all sorts of magical creatures onto Earth, and they will have to be on constant lookout for danger.
The episode ends with the girls reaffirming their commitment to each other and to their mission as guardians. They realize that they will have to work together in order to protect the world, and they vow to do whatever it takes to keep it safe.
Overall, It Resumes is a strong follow-up to the first episode of W.I.T.C.H. It further establishes the characters and their relationships, while also introducing new elements to the story. The episode is full of action and suspense, and sets up the series for a thrilling and magical adventure.
