After the shocking revelation in the last episode, Episode 6 of Under the Power season 1 follows the aftermath of the event that has drastically affected several characters.

Jiang Yuelou, still reeling from his emotional outburst and subsequent confession, tries to stay away from Tan Mansion as much as possible. However, his absence has been noticed by Emperor Guangxu, who immediately sends his men to investigate. Meanwhile, Tan Mansion is hit with another tragedy when their accountant is found murdered, and Xia Jingyi is tasked with solving the case.

As tensions rise between the two factions, Jiang Yuelou and Su Ci team up again to investigate the murder. Their partnership, however, is put to the test when they clash on how to approach the case. Su Ci, being an impartial observer, wants to analyze the evidence and follow the facts. On the other hand, Jiang Yuelou's personal connection to the victim and his penchant for impulsive decisions put them at odds.

Amidst the investigation, Tan Mansion receives an unexpected visitor - Gu Shenwei. Jiang Yuelou is surprised to see him, but their reunion is far from friendly. Gu Shenwei's presence stirs up painful memories and reopens old wounds, leaving Jiang Yuelou shaken.

Elsewhere, Emperor Guangxu is growing increasingly impatient with Jiang Yuelou's absence and orders his men to track him down. Jiang Yuelou, knowing the consequences of being caught, is forced to confront his fears head-on and return to Tan Mansion to face Emperor Guangxu.

As the investigation progresses, Xia Jingyi and Su Ci discover a shocking truth about the murder that implicates one of the most influential figures in the city. Faced with the prospect of starting a scandal that could destabilize the entire city, they must decide whether to follow the evidence or protect the interests of those in power.

Episode 6 of Under the Power season 1 is a thrilling ride that pushes the characters to their limits as they navigate dangerous alliances, personal vendettas, and political intrigue.
