Meanwhile, Kevin is dealing with his own problems as his relationship with his new girlfriend, Jemma, becomes increasingly complicated. As he tries to navigate the complexities of their relationship, he is also dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic event that occurred earlier in the season.
Elsewhere, Ronnie is grappling with guilt and remorse over his role in Brandon's death. He tries to seek redemption by helping a young boy in the community who is in over his head with a dangerous gang.
The tension in the community continues to build as Detective Toussaint investigates Brandon's death. As she begins to close in on potential suspects, she realizes that the truth is much more complicated than she initially thought.
