The Brak Show season 1 episode 3 titled "Time Machine" opens with Brak and his brother Sisto excitedly discussing the prospect of building a time machine. Despite their lack of expertise in the field of science, Brak is convinced they can pull it off after reading a brief article in a magazine.
Their father, however, is skeptical of their plan and insists they stick to what they know best - playing video games and watching TV. Despite his protests, the boys continue their quest to build the time machine. They successfully construct a device out of household objects, including a flower pot and a toaster. Their creation is crude but appears to function.
Brak and Sisto test their time machine, but instead of traveling through time, they were transported to a bizarre parallel universe. The universe is a cartoon world where everything looks warped, and the landscape is constantly changing. The boys are initially thrilled by their discovery and quickly acquaint themselves with the strange inhabitants.
Their excitement is short-lived, however, as they soon realize that their time machine is broken and they are stranded in this universe. Adding to their problems, they quickly realize that the inhabitants of this world have an appetite for time travelers. The boys must act quickly to find a way back home.
Meanwhile, their parents are becoming increasingly concerned about their disappearance. As they search for their boys, they too stumble upon the broken time machine and, after fixing it, are transported to the same parallel universe. It's not long before they meet the locals, but their visit is met with a less welcoming response than their children experienced.
The remainder of the episode follows the family's desperate attempts to find a way back home, all while avoiding becoming a snack for the locals. They must work together to figure out how to fix the time machine and return to their own world.
