The Biggest Loser is a reality TV show that focuses on overweight contestants who compete to lose the highest percentage of body weight to win prizes. During this season, some new changes have been made to the game. There are three trainers in The Biggest Loser Season 8 – Jillian Michaels, Bob Harper, and Dolvett Quince. The show also features awesome theme weeks such as challenges which make the contestants work extremely hard to prove their worth.
In Episode 805, the remaining contestants are in for a surprise when they are divided into two teams – red and black – and sent to the beach to compete in a special challenge. In this challenge, the teams must paddle on surfboards to the shore, jump out, and run across the sand to reach their stations where they have to lift heavy buckets filled with water above their heads. The team who finishes first is safe from elimination, and the other team is sent home for the week. The challenge is tough, and the contestants are shown fighting hard.
Back at the ranch, the losing team is faced with a grueling workout supervised by the tough-as-nails trainer Jillian Michaels. The contestants must pull big wagon-like contraptions filled with weights up a steep hill, and then push them back down. This is followed by a workout with huge ropes the contestants must lift up and down. As the workout progresses, some contestants begin to falter under the pressure, fatigue setting in.
Dolvett Quince steps in to teach the contestants how to dance. He asks them to choose a partner and make up their own dance routines, which they will perform in front of the other team. This fun activity becomes a bonding experience for the contestants as they let their hair down and show their creative sides.
The contestants are then faced with a temptation challenge – a buffet full of delicious, high-calorie foods. They must resist the temptation to indulge and stand by their commitment to the weight-loss program. Contestants can choose to eat or not to eat the food, and the contestants who eat the most calories gain the least amount of control in the game. The temptation is powerful, and one question is on everyone's mind: who will give in to their craving for food?
Next up is the weigh-in, where the contestants weigh in and reveal how much weight they have lost since the previous week. The contestants with the lowest percentage of weight loss are up for elimination and must fight for their place on the show in a final challenge.
All of the contestants work really hard, and the challenge is tough, testing their strength and endurance. One contestant in particular, who has struggled with weight loss throughout the show, makes significant progress, hitting a personal best and feeling proud of herself.
The episode ends with a tense elimination as the two contestants with the lowest weight loss percentages of the week face off against each other. The contestants give heartfelt speeches, explaining why they should stay in the game, before the final vote that determines who goes home and who stays to compete another week.
