Despite her concerns, Enriqueta convinces Maria to join her on a demon hunting mission. On the way, Enriqueta reveals that Abigail has been targeting Maria's clients, making it personal for Maria.

The hunt for Abigail leads Maria and Enriqueta to a picturesque town in South Carolina. They soon discover that the demon is possessing the town's mayor, Aaron Bledsoe. The Abascals seek the help of Rev. Elijah Bledsoe, Aaron's father, who is a pastor and a powerful demon hunter. He advises them to perform a binding spell on Aaron to prevent Abigail from jumping to another host.

Maria, David, and Elijah perform the spell, but Abigail manages to break free and possess David. While possessed, David reveals a shocking secret about Maria's true lineage, throwing her into turmoil. Maria is forced to face her own demons while dealing with the threat of Abigail possessing her loved ones.
