Sydney Fox is back with another adventure packed episode of Relic Hunter in season 2 episode 8 named "Roman Holiday". In this episode, Sydney and Nigel are on the search for an ancient Roman statue, the "Lion of St. Mark", that was believed to have been lost for centuries.

The episode starts off in Venice where Sydney meets a woman named Leda, who wants her to help steal the statue from the museum it is currently being kept in. Sydney initially refuses the offer, stating that she is a relic hunter, not a thief. However, things take a turn when Leda tells Sydney that her father, an archeologist who had been searching for the statue for years, has recently passed away. Leda believes that the statue is rightfully hers and her late father's, and wants to retrieve it before someone else does.

Sydney, moved by Leda's story, decides to help her out in her quest. They devise a plan to infiltrate the museum and steal the statue. However, their plan is interrupted by a group of thieves who are also after the statue. A chase ensues, and Sydney and Nigel are forced to flee with the statue.

Once they have the statue in their possession, Sydney and Nigel must figure out what to do with it, and how to keep it safe from the other thieves who are after it. They decide to take it back to the University, where Sydney is a professor, to study it and try to find out more about its significance.

As they study the statue, Sydney and Nigel discover that it may have ties to another ancient Roman artifact, a sword believed to have belonged to Julius Caesar himself. They decide to go on a search for the sword, in hopes that it will lead them to more information about the statue.

Their search for the sword takes them all the way to Rome, where they enlist the help of an old flame of Sydney's, a historian named Fabio. Fabio takes them to an underground Roman dungeon, where they believe the sword may be hiding. However, their search is interrupted once again, this time by a group of armed men who are also after the sword.

A battle ensues, and Sydney and Nigel are able to retrieve the sword. As they examine it, they discover that there is a hidden inscription on the blade that leads them to a treasure that is believed to contain the secret to immortality.

Sydney and Nigel set out on one final adventure, to find the treasure and uncover its secrets. However, they soon realize that they are not the only ones after the treasure, and they are forced to fight off more armed men who are also searching for it.

In the end, Sydney and Nigel are able to retrieve the treasure and uncover its secrets, which they decide to keep to themselves. They return the sword and the statue to their rightful owners, and Sydney says goodbye to Fabio, hinting that she may return to Rome someday.

"Roman Holiday" is an action-packed adventure that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. With its fast-paced storyline, fascinating historical references, and well-developed characters, it is a must-watch for fans of the show.
