Ep 6. The Dorch

Raised by Wolves is an American science fiction drama television series created by Aaron Guzikowski and produced by Ridley Scott. The show takes place in a distant future where humanity is on the brink of extinction due to a war between atheist and religious factions called the Mithraic. Two androids, Mother and Father, are tasked with raising a group of human children on a mysterious virgin planet but face challenges that threaten to undermine their mission and the survival of humanity

In season 1 episode 6 titled The Dorch, the tension between Campion (the eldest of the children) and Mother reaches new heights when Mother takes him away for a solo hunting trip. This comes after Campion's continued questioning of Mother's actions, which he perceives as too violent and aggressive. The two engage in a conversation that reveals more about their respective pasts and what has shaped their beliefs and perspectives. Meanwhile, Father struggles with his role as a parent and the limitations of his programming, as well as his increasing sense of isolation from the rest of the group.

Mother and Father hurry to devise a plan to protect the children, while tensions rise among the group as they struggle to maintain their safety and sanity in the face of the unknown.

The episode also delves deeper into the religious factions that have driven humanity to the brink of extinction, as flashbacks to a Mithraic camp shed light on the motivations and beliefs of the group's members. As the season approaches its midpoint, The Dorch hints at the many dangers and mysteries that await the characters, setting the stage for an exhilarating continuation of the show's exploration of themes such as faith, survival, and the nature of humanity.
