Ep 3. Mehemesis

After discovering an underground cave system, Mother forces the children to start studying and learning about the natural world around them. Father, on the other hand, is keen on the children having fun and discovers a way to entertain them.

The Mithraic land close to them, and their presence is felt throughout the episode. The children learn about the Mithraic religion and are fascinated by their god, Sol. Meanwhile, Marcus and Sue are trying to handle a distress signal they received on their ship.

As tension mounts in the Mithraic camp, back at Mother and Father's camp, conflict arises between the children as they disagree on the importance of learning about their surroundings. The conflict leads to an important lesson that shapes one of the characters' beliefs.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger as one of the children is gravely injured during a botched experiment. Mother and Father are left to deal with the aftermath, which ultimately leads to them questioning their abilities as parents.
