Time stands still in the Temple of Gaia and Chronos allows Hero, Oracle, Daedalus and Medea to cross the bridge over to Olympus. Their first obstacle is a reflective rock wall and Hero finds a novel way for them to pass through.
On the other side is a bridge to Tartarus. Eyes closed, they cross the bridge, relying on Oracle's visionary sight and leap to their individual tests.
Returning to the bridge, they are called to judgment. Daedalus refuses to be judged and runs off - Hero realizes that Daedalus has taken the ring and chases the inventor down, kills Daedalus and reclaims the ring.
Medea is the first to be judged and by a tribunal of her sons: Tisander, Alcimenes and Lykos. She is condemned to spend her everlasting days with Hades.
Hero is next and the gods choose Oracle to be his judge. Gaia gives Oracle a choice - between her love for the Gods and her love for Man. Oracle chooses Man and Hero, overwhelmed, accepts her love.
Hero and Oracle are transported to a white void and visited by Hermes, Chronos, and Apollo who explain that they were driven to this world by their enemies. Their father, Zeus Meilichios, helped them destroy their adversaries and to avoid future attacks, Chronos drew the gods into a different speed of time hiding them in plain sight. Mankind was created to serve as a smokescreen. However, Zeus fell in love with his creation, Mortal Man, forsaking his own children. The gods couldn't kill their father, so they imprisoned him. The Lexicon was the gods' means of finding a human mercenary who was prepared to sacrifice love, heritage and soul and; therefore able to kill their father Zeus.
Hero and Oracle travel to a prison deep within Olympus and confront Zeus - half man and half serpent.
Zeus tells Hero he is Zeus' hope for a better world - a mortal balance between the forces of good and evil. Hero is willing to set Zeus fre on one condition: Zeus helps Hero destroy the gods and allow Mortal Man to govern himself.
