In the season 4 premiere of Lost Girl, titled "In Memoriam," we find Bo coping with her recent break up with Lauren and trying to move on. Meanwhile, Dyson is dealing with the aftermath of losing his love, Tamsin, in the season 3 finale. The episode opens with Bo and Kenzi on the road, heading to a boxing match. Bo is hopeful that the fight will take her mind off of Lauren and their failed relationship. However, it quickly becomes clear that the event they're attending is far from a typical boxing match.
As the two friends enter the arena, they're immediately met with an eerie atmosphere. The crowd is composed of supernatural beings of all kinds, all of them raging and hungry for blood. Bo quickly realizes that they've stumbled upon an "Fight Club" for Fae, where supernaturals fight one another to the death for the entertainment of the bloodthirsty crowd. Horrified and disgusted, Bo attempts to put a stop to the fights, but finds that it's no easy task.
Meanwhile, Dyson is visited by an old friend, whom he previously thought dead. Tamsin's sister, Stacey, arrives at the precinct and asks for Dyson's help in finding her missing sibling. Despite Dyson's initial reluctance to get involved due to Tamsin's death, he agrees to help Stacey and tries to follow any leads he can.
Back at the Fight Club, Bo and Kenzi witness a Fae known as "Gobbler" brutally kill another supernatural in the ring. Bo is horrified and decides to take action. She confronts Gobbler and demands that he stop the fights and release the other supernatural beings that are being held captive. Gobbler, however, is a powerful and dangerous foe, and Bo quickly finds herself overpowered and in grave danger.
Elsewhere, Dyson connects with a Voodoo practitioner who is able to help him locate Tamsin's whereabouts. Using a tracking spell, they discover that Tamsin has been taken captive by a group of Dark Fae, who plan to use her for their own twisted purposes.
As the episode progresses, Bo's situation becomes more precarious and Dyson's search for Tamsin becomes more desperate. Eventually, the two storylines intersect, leading to a thrilling and action-packed finale.
"In Memoriam" sets the tone for the fourth season of Lost Girl, introducing new characters and conflicts while continuing the ongoing struggles of our beloved protagonists. It's a gripping and emotional episode that leaves viewers on the edge of their seats, eager to see what's to come.
