Ep 16. School's Out

Bo and Kenzi are teaming up to relive a bit of their youth while Dyson helps out an old friend. The episode begins with Bo realizing that she has never experienced prom in high school and decides that she wants to relive that experience. Kenzi, being the ever-present best friend, decides to help Bo make this happen. They hunt down a prom dress and decide to crash the local high school’s prom.

Meanwhile, Dyson is recruited by a childhood friend, Samantha, to help her track down her husband who has gone missing. Though Dyson is hesitant to get involved in such a personal matter, his sense of duty to his friend wins out and he agrees to help her.

As the girls sneak into the prom, they are immediately enthralled by the sights and sounds of the high school dance. Bo catches the eye of a handsome young man who begins to show her some dance moves. Kenzi, on the other hand, takes a trip down memory lane by playing the arcade games and eating junk food.

As Dyson and Samantha begin to follow the trail of her missing husband, they discover that he has been living a double life. The man they thought they knew was actually involved in some rather unsavory dealings involving gambling and debt.

Bo discovers that the handsome young man she has been dancing with is actually a Fae. Not only that, but he has been using his powers to seduce young women at the prom and then feeding on them as part of his feeding agenda. Bo, of course, is not interested in being his next victim and uses her own powers to knock him out.

While trying to figure out a way to get their friend’s husband out of trouble, Dyson and Samantha discover that the debts he owes are to the Morrigan – the leader of the Dark Fae. The Morrigan runs a seedy underground club and the only way to get Samantha’s husband out of debt is to find some way to win enough money to pay off his debts.

Over at the prom, Bo and Kenzi are trying to figure out a way to stop the Fae from attacking any more of the young women at the dance. They enlist the help of Hale and trick the Fae into revealing his true identity. With the help of Hale's powers, they are able to take the Fae down and make sure that the young women are safe.

As the night comes to a close, Bo and Kenzi leave the prom feeling satisfied with their makeshift prom experience. Dyson and Samantha, on the other hand, have managed to save her husband from the clutches of the Dark Fae but know that they will need to be careful if they want to avoid any future danger.

Overall, this episode is a fun and exciting romp through high school nostalgia with a heavy dose of Fae drama thrown in for good measure. Bo and Kenzi’s antics as they try to relive the prom experience are both funny and endearing, while Dyson’s side plot with Samantha adds a layer of suspense and intrigue to the episode.
